I dunno, I feel like the "key shine on the moon in one second" is also a gameplay mechanic, because otherwise we would have to wait ingame for the light to reach the moon, which would be boring/dumb, so of course it'd be instant. So gotta choose one or the other, all game play mechanics, or all story.

Good things about the DB: - Sora won - Didn't neglect sora's op spells - Mentioned sora's best speed feats Bad things about the DB: - Downplayed both characters' strength (a lot) - Restricted sora from going into drive forms when needing party members are only a game mechanic (he went valor form on his own in a cutscene and can transform at will in underworld tournaments) - Spent time talking about all of pit's weapons only to end up giving him 2 of them - Completely neglected all of Pit's powers - Used sora's lightning dodging feat but completely ignored the fact Pit literally fought the _goddess_ of lightning - Downplayed pit's speed

Can Dio even harm Alucard? I don't think there's anything in his arsenal that could kill Alucard let alone hurt him. If Dio gets hit and bleeds, he's completely screwed. Imo, his regeneration would be a detriment in this match.

4:49 i would argue that there's a very stark distinction between the purpose of the gummi ship and the purpose of the GST. the gummi ship's primary function is transportation (im not saying it can't fight too but the GST's SOLE purpose was to fight) whereas the GST was SPECIFICALLY designed to be a weapon. that being said i can understand omitting it due to a lack of information. we've seen what the GST can do but there isn't enough solid data on its specs or feats to accurately ascertain the limit of its capabilities. also the notion that the GST was purely a one time thing is ridiculous and that's for two reasons. 1, the 3 sacred treasures were also destroyed in the same game and almost just as quickly and 2, when pit received the GST, dyntos gave no notion or indication that he wanted it returned after the battle was finished. and i do want to contest the idea that sora's vehicles and pits would cancel each other out. i just want to see the data that supports that conclusion. so while i concede the point to not include it because of a lack of data, the reasoning to not include it because it was a temporary thing is simply absurd. 5:59 im actually curious about the drive forms. at this point im not sure if fans can even agree on which ones are actually canon (unless enix has said which ones are and aren't) and whether or not the conditions for their activation follow cutscene or game mechanic. all in all, i won't dispute how the fight played out because of the restrictions set. i do however want to see a fight where pit has the GST and sora has at least one drive form.

Why did they forget that the lightning feat applies to Pit as well? Literally the next chapter overviewed in the episode features Pit fighting against Phosphora... ya know... The Goddess of LIGHTNING?! Sure she was in a weakened state, but he was able to dodge multiple bolts both during the flight segment and the boss battle proper. Sure I don't think Pit could've won, but I don't think the gulf in overall ability was that wide.

That's because they would have needed to play the game. According to Noel, he never finished it but was holding onto it for months and still never finished it. I.E. he most likely started months ago - stopped - then came back to it forgetting most of what he had done already. TLDR :: the "Research" for pit was highly flawed and not recorded very well.

Now I know they are done with answering questions on it, but I’m still wondering where they got ‘the keyblade’s laser shot to the moon’ from the game. Sure that is how it seems, but the beam was only used to lock the Halloween Town Keyhole, so shouldn’t they have just done some trajectory math and gotten the actual numbers? Something about Sora's lightning dodge feat that bugs me to no end. You showed Sora dodging a lightning strike (which you guys said a few times for Quick Man moves at 224,000 MPH), yet you gave Sora the number of the return stroke, which happens AFTER it already lands. Am I missing something?

I think this is needed to say because rather than answer the question about "Why didn't Sora use Reflect" they just said "we can't show every possible outcome" and that makes me think that they forgot what Reflect actually does in the game. Reflect literally reflects EVERYTHING. It is by far the most OP skill in the game because its has NO LIMITS on what it can defend and shoot back at the enemy. The game has never shown a limit on Reflect outside of having enough MP to use it. This means that Sora could use Reflect on every one of Pitt's attacks and basically have Pitt destroy himself with his own power. In the game, Reflect has shown to be able to stop every boss' super moves and even interrupt them from the damage they receive. And sure, if Sora just spammed Reflect then this fight would be pointless because he wins no matter what, but still even if they limited Reflect to 3 times that still means that Sora would have been able to use Reflect on Pitt's strongest attack, receive no damage, and fire double damage he would have received from the attack right back at Pitt (Assuming Pitt was close to Sora). I mean Sora wins either way, but I just think they really had to power Sora down or they didn't properly do the research on the character. THEY FORGOT LIMIT FORM, the one form that doesn't need any friends to do, heals Sora to full HP/MP and gives him his old school moves from KH1 only stronger. C'mon ScrewAttack, you really screwed this one up.

Ähm there is a limit to reflekt besides MP. You can only cast it a limited amount of time in a row. Casting Reflekt rapidly is a spell combo and once Sora reaches the end of the combo he becomes open. Lingering Wills Ultimate attacke fore example. You can not just spam reflekt fore the whole attacke becuse the attacke is to long. And it does not exactly reflekt anything. It does reflekt some projetktiles but fore the most part it negates damage and than causes some explosions as an counter attacke. And if you include Reflekt in a combo the explosions only apier at the end of a combo.Yeah Reflekt is OP and it would destroy Pit but its not as broken as you hype it up to be. It has limits. There are situations where its not going to help you and dodging and/ore guard are the better options. Like LWs Ultimate attack. I use glide and guard to handle it.

Sofaris I did say in my post that if they were to give Sora only 3 times Reflect then it would still be very effective. Your comment basically confirms how OP this spell is. I get what your saying though with the timing and only being able to use it 3 times in succession but Sora would only need to use Reflect once to block Pitts final attack. Reflect is a powerful spell that should have been given more exposure instead of being brushed aside like they did. Same with Limit Form. It just seems like they didn't do proper research or plainly didn't play the game. You can't tell me they had a team of researchers and all of them missed Limit Form

I'd really like to see that Guts VS Kratos battle. They should do a little mini-tournament episode where they pit winners of old death battles with other winners. Maybe not full episodes, but something. They could do a season that's "tournament style" and have like different weight-classes to offset some obvious things (like Superman VS. Solid Snake would just not be fair otherwise). I'd really enjoy more debate on the Guts VS. Kratos battle because there's a lot of unknowns. The composition of The Blade of Olympus is unknown as well as how much, if any, godly power may remain in it. Zeus could use it to destroy armies, but in Kratos's hands, while powerful, it wasn't necessarily world-shattering as he could fight normal enemies with it and still need to pummel them. I'd agree Kratos is impossibly strong, but his durability is an issue. When he healed himself the first time he was stabbed through it was because he was in hades, I'm not sure if he can do that outside of it. In God of War III he stabs himself with the Blade of Olympus, and he does survive for a while due to his demi-god status. It was infused with "Hope" from Pandora's Box at the time, which might've been what saved him, but we never actually see him survive that wound, only evidence that he crawled away - and the "Hope" it was infused with may have spared him. You see him pass out in the video from the wound as he's bleeding out, we don't know what (if anything) saved him. But he definitely can't just will holes like that away - even if that wasn't lethal, Guts would make sure whatever happened after was. Meanwhile Kratos has been outmatched several times by trickery, godly might, and just straight out-classed strategically, or knocked around plenty by a strategically skilled opponent. Guts has never died and has shown incredible battle cunning. Kratos is zealous to a fault, willing to take any risk to get in on an enemy. It plays into an effective strategy for kratos because many underestimate his zeal, savagery and capability, but Guts wouldn't be making these mistakes. He's fought creatures like Zodd who could easily overpower him, but by using technique, strategy, skill and cunning he's managed to defend himself against attacks that'd shatter a normal human being. His battle at the hill against Zodd he didn't even have the berserker armor, and managed to tank superhuman blows - and increase the potential of his weapon by maintaining an offense, knowing that a block would potentially shatter even dragonslayer. Even if the Blade of Olympus could cut Dragonslayer, Kratos would have to put Guts in that situation and his instincts are very finely honed against such attacks, and powerhouse aggressors are kinda Guts's specialization - he fought an angel made of stone who tried to crush him with a 100 blows and he physically survived that, without the berserker armor. I honestly think the fight would go quickly in either way - Kratos's attacks would be predictably savage, but Guts's response.... would not be so easy to decipher. Guts prefers to go in hard, as a tactic, and if Kratos does nothing to strategically hamper Guts he might be in for a bad surprise. I don't think it'd go longer than 3-4 maneuvers, maybe Guts having to reevaluate once against the onslaught of Kratos, and then attempting a few strategies before settling on the risk-it-all maneuver. Guts isn't a risk-taker, he's just not afraid of personal sacrifice. If he had to lose a kidney to kill Kratos, he'll give up a kidney if the strategic gain is there. I'd give Kratos a surprise move with the Golden Fleece or the head of medusa, but eventually the two would decided rather quickly to leverage braun versus brains. He's not against sacrificing Dragonslayer to get one clean hit in on Kratos either, and Guts knows how to make hits like that lethal. I'm not counting out Kratos say, throwing a boulder or something, but... This'd be a really good one, as I feel like there's a lot to consider, it makes for a good debate.

Kratos' strength is a red herring in this argument anyway: He very rarely uses his full power all at once in a fight. What makes him 'really' dangerous is his creativity and instinct. As a God of War Kratos is gifted with the ability to intuit the way to kill any enemy, so long as that way exists. Using anchor spikes to pin down the hydra's heads, stabbing Cronos with his own broken shackles, ripping apart Pollux and Castor, and impaling Clotho with the same blade she uses to cut the threads of fate are a few examples. Also, he has the ability to wield any weapon he gets his hands on, be it mortal, divine, or conceptual. Where you see a sun-god's head, he sees a flashbang, where you see a claw weapon from the underworld, he sees a way to launch *dead souls* at his enemy. A huge portion of the time, the weapons come from the enemies he's fighting himself, giving him the chance he needs. As tradition in God of war, the moment he gets his hands on an enemy's weapon is the start of the quicktime event to finish them off. I expect that's what would happen here. Giving Guts the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't just be immediately overwhelmed, Kratos is as creatively sadistic as Guts is masochistic, and can put the pressure on him long enough to get an opening. Then, one of two things will happen: Either Kratos will get his hands on the demon-slaying Dragonslayer Sword, then kill the demon-operated Berserker Armor and Guts with it, OR he'll just figure out that he needs to bleed Guts until he can't run the armor any more, immobilize him and bludgeon him to death with a Dad-Beater Special.

I would argue that the Great Sacred Treasure is more than a one off thing because Dyntos actively gives it to Pit and makes it his possession. Much like how the 3 Sacred Treasures are only used for (technically) 1 mission but something he owns constantly.

Its kinda BS that the guy who was doing the research for Pit never even finished the game. Considering that would have included the Canon Pit is blasted out of which would have increased his durability past Sora's. Pit being able to dodge pure natural ( and God level ) lightning ( Phosophora fight / build up to the fight ). He's also capable of driving the lightning chariot without passing out ( or you know dying which is more likely then anything ) . Look guys I get it was going to be a stomp because Sora at the end of the day does have Time and Gravity on his side . . .but at least FINISH the damn game >: | Also when is the Key Beam used as an attack? : \ I just got done playing KH1 final mix and I don't remember seeing it used that way. Seems awesome on paper, but one problem. Pennywise is fueled by fear. The reason a bunch of teenage kids put him into a coma is because they figured out his gimmick, stopped being scared of him and kicked his ass. (Or made an orgy, but that's only in the book). A lot of the answers to these questions do make sense, but at the same time there are a few things I still have questions about. 1: Sora's light beam, when shooting at the moon in Halloween Town, is larger than our moon (assuming it hit the moon). With this, we can assume that it's CLOSER than our moon, much closer. Now take into account: Pit can dodge Phosphora's lightning and Arlon's space lasers. Pit has the capability to match Sora when it comes to the whole lightning dodge speed. This is seen on two accounts, in level 2 when going to Gaol's castle and when fighting Phosphora. In both scenarios, he managewd to either predict or dodge lightning. In addition to this, when Pit is dodging the laser beams from Arlon's Station, keep in mind that he's traveling to a place the same distance away from the surface as our moon. As such, not only is he heading towards the station, but is also dodging projectiles which travel at the speed of light which are heading towards him. If anything, this should be able to be a testament to Pit's speed and reaction time. So cold he have dodged Sora's light beam given this? 2: Pit didn't use his powers. I'm sure that Sora could find a way around most of Pit's powers, but the bulk of the one's which would've helped Pit in this scenario are related to his durability (not defense or attack), like Pices Heal or Libra Sponge or Aries Armor. I guess in your case you believe it to not matter in the fight like Sora's Drive Forms, but I can't help but shake something like this from my mind given that Pit can, as ridiculous as this sounds, actually fake his death while going invisible, only to shoot an invisible Arrow of Light at Sora. This is a bit of a creative use, but it's possible. As such... why not? 3: Sora's time stop magic is Stopga at it's most powerful form. It works as such: a small area around Sora is affected by the magic, stopping all enemies (not projectiles) from moving or interacting with the world. What happened in the DB is NOT stopga, but rather Stopza, a magic that affects a much larger area which Sora cannot use (only Mickey and probably Yen Sid has been shown to use this. Sora cannot equip Stopza in any game). I'm pretty sure it's jsut a dramatization, but it still matters to some extent. 4: Why isn't Sora's limited MP mentioned? In KH2, which is the form of Sora used in the DB, Sora had limited MP at this point and didn't use the command card system seen in Birth by Sleep and KH3D. Seeing as how KH3D isn't mentioned in the battle, why isn't this limitation mentioned at all?

Even with drives, Sora still doesn't stack up to Pit in speed. In DDD we are officially told an idea of Sora's speed. Faster than lightning... Now assuming this means legitimate speed and not Sora predicting where the lightning will hit we will immensely exaggerate the possibilities of Sora's speed by saying is can move at 10 times faster than light. That essentially is 30 times faster than lightning. That is high balling Sora's speed immensely. Even with that, Pit went to a constellation then (while fighting enemies at that speed and dodging obstacles and lasers which shows the combat/reaction speed too,) went from star to star until he found a space ship. The closest constellation to Earth is Centaurus. Assuming the first star that Pit comes near is Alpha Centauri C, that would mean that Pit from Earth to Alpha Centauri C in 15 seconds. Alpha Centauri C is 4.2 light years from Earth. Lets put that in perspective shall we? In the Superman vs Goku 2 Death Battle we see Superman go from Vega to Earth. Screwattack gave that about 10 minutes as a low ball. Vega is 25.05 light years from Earth. So lets do some simple math. We'll see just how far Pit would go in that same low balled 10 minutes. 15 times 4 is 60. Thus we have our first minute and we know that pit could fly 16.8 Light years in a minute. So multiply that by 10 and you get 168 light years in 10 minutes. That's about 40 times faster than the Superman feat. This is also (once again) combat speed, and travel speed, not just flight. Now Superman would still wreck Pit, however Pit certainly is faaaar faster than Sora. Keep in mind that I was pushing Sora in this! Even if we said Sora could move at 100 times the speed of light, Pit would still be several hundred thousand times faster than him! I haven't even mentioned the legitimate striking power of Hades, but I'd rather save that for another time. Basically, Sora shouldn't have been able to even see Pit move let alone hit him.

Sora has constantly dodged and reacted to Lasers and Light Element Attacks with his most famous being the Xemnas Laser blasts with Riku. Even in KH1 with half of his power gone (i.e. Roxas) He's still able to avoid Xemnas' Lasers and counter them He again dodges and reacts to Roxas' attacks and even his final limit, magic hour, which essentially him spamming light attacks, all of which Sora reacts to And even moreso against The Lingering Will (Terra) who's also able to react to light attacks from Eraqus

I wouldn't cite Sora dodging/blocking Xemnas's lasers as a testament to his speed, seeing as how he had Riku's help and every laser pauses before firing off. I'd more cite his fight with Sephiroth (Flash gives 13 hits in one frame) or his fight with Lingering Will (Terra's arrows are made of light and can be dodged). All of this is really moot because of the fact that Sora can stop time, meaning that he can essentially move infinitely faster than light. As far as Pit goes, we can't assume that he went from Earth because according to the Kid Icarus franchise, he resides in "Angel Land". For all we know Angel Land could be right next door to a constellation.
