It's those two perks that are broken. The storm actually double dips into Apex of Sorcery, because the cast speed makes it tick twice as often, plus it also gains double damage on top of it. The instant cast makes it even worse. I've tested it without those perks, it's a pefrectly balanced spell, has its uses but is not op

Been having a blast playing sorcerer after playing wizard only. Longsword feels great. Can't wait for it to get nerfed into the ground, then buffed to insane again, then nerfed into the ground then slowly be buffed by a little to be good to play

for real, i havent played since march this year but still follow the news. they have so much potential with the game but for every step forward they take 5 steps back. they also NEVER test anything, despite having a test server which was originally sold as a premium exclusive edition of the game. then they complain "well no one uses the test server so we dont put patches on there". duh, maybe they should've made the test server free for all players, instead of trying to milk their players for more money?

Remove apex and instant cast, tone down the damage on lightning storm, maybe open the DnD handbook instead of being lazy. Where is silent casting? In reality they will just nerf the damage of all the spells into the ground and leave the perks as is so you HAVE to take the double damage perk..

The perks need heavy changes. The spells are good and fun to use, but the perks just break them while making the gameplay of the class less fun. Apex needs a nerf to damage increase and a buff to the movemeant speed penalty. Being rooted while casting is just bad and it turns the class into a dps check.

Everything else but lightning storm is pretty much fine. Cause the rest are either telegraphed ground AOEs or super slow ass projectiles. Dark Bolt and Ice Bolt are ass outside of the Ice Slow so this is probably what mage projectiles should be like instead of just being a downgrade from crossbows/bows.

druid was like the indrocution of skill gap from apm, swaping spells so quick that your unbeatable. this is far more crazy, way higher apm required but the skill ceiling is incredibly high, just so many options and combos that can make you almost untouchable in any fight against any class.
