Players and long-term collectors should watch the interviews. Especially Erik's interview, one of the answers he gave was SO encouraging. In response to what is Sorcery's vision or future or what was true in the past as it is now; well Erik response of "simplicity and remaining iconic and the artwork" is exactly what I wanted to hear. The one thing I enjoy about Sorcery over all other TCGs is that I don't have to spend a quarter or half my time reading textboxes after textboxes after textboxes of crap just to make a game interesting in play. Sorcery the DEPTH is acheived through the openness of the rules and the grid-based game design and due to the simplicity of the cards enables/ensures that they work in a multitude of plays or multitudes of strategies or multitudes of setups and so on. And the textboxes only require a few words to a single sentence on average to understand each card and THAT is why it is the best modern TCG to come out imo. So it's fantastic to hear that design will continue. Good stuff.

How do you all think this game is long term? With no competitive scene planned, not sure how they get marketing going or excitement built?

We'd challenge that the marketing model of heavily competitive/tournament-focused is the only option, and there's a good case to be made that it isn't the strongest one for Sorcery. We'll see.

You just opened Battering Ram and it made me want to set up a map with walls and archers and stuff, but no deck versus someone with some sort of only cost 1 deck thing to push the rams and see what happens

Hey guys, I preordered here in germany from two separate german vendors in july this year. Both are dead silent on any delivery or anything... Can you please tell me(us germans/europeans) when we can expect some Sorcery here?

We have no idea, sadly, as we're not privy to what's going on with worldwide distribution. The best we can offer is that we do ship worldwide. It's $82 to ship a case of 6 booster boxes to Munich.

Water is definitely the most difficult in limited formats in this first set because it's a faction revolving around synergy instead of just good units. It holds its own quite well in constructed.

I wish battle mats were given free in paper form. $350 spent and realize mat needed. Ah well, whats another 30-40 anyway

I think they should release some oversized "void" and "rubble" tokens, and sell them in 20 (2-player) or 40 (4-player) tokens per pack. That way you can just bring a deck of them with you and setup a grid battleground by laying down these tokens on the table to play on in place of mats. While I prefer to play on mats, oversized tokens would be easier to carry around AND you can also build 4-player battlefields or custom battlefields with one off tiles instead of the standard 5x4 to spice up games. Well, I probably just gave someone else a money-making idea!
