I have always loved Paul and wish he, Tony and Josie would do appearances on the new ones.

@cHews cArefully Yeah, I remember when she made the comment about "101 things you can do with dead cats" (except she used the English alternative, and was told by Drew it was pronounced 'pu-say')

@cHews cArefully Michael, Tony, Paul, Josie, and John...(providing ANYONE would be able to get a word in) made the show what it is. and I miss them
@cannedmusic3 жыл бұрын
@cHews cArefully They used to play the unedited version if you searched YT. They bleeped out dead cats and the word pussy, in reference to cats. Mrs. Slocomb used to ride it rather well.

@cHews cArefully I miss Mr. Anderson. Granted, he's totally different from Drew, but they are also both totally different from Aisha. She's my favorite. host.

*dies laughing* that was the most delicious, chaotic, hilarious F&TS. Paul Merton and Tony Slattery FTW!!! I'm so so glad to see Paul Merton! wish he was on more.

I think this is the /only/ Foreign Film Dub in either the UK or the US series where nobody uses the gag involving a very /long/ string of gibberish being translated into a very /short/ English sentence. Major props!

Okay, I've only just now started watching the UK version, and I've seen four episodes so far. Every time I have seen Tony, he has really put on a magnificent show, and he's always so smartly dressed!!

Hahaha, that Film and Theatre Styles was such a trainwreck :D I love how Paul Merton tends to break character to point out amusing or ridiculous details. Maybe he's overdoing it here, but I think it's still hilarious xD

Paul's breakdown during Film and theater when tony pulled the cig was priceless, the beauty of improv. . . ahh.

Tony and Paul = Awesomeness I really missed them in the US version, same goes for Josie. - "Can I borrow a cigarette?" - "Sure, take the pack" *starts smoking the whole pack* LOL

I really wished that Steen & Sweeney were on WL a lot more, they were absolutely brilliant, both together and along with other improvisers. Steve is also very kind, he has always been so nice to me :)

This was the very first episode of Whose Line I ever saw, back when Comedy Central showed this version. "Barbara Cartland, witch and hag, too much makeup, fascist hag" is still probably one of my favorite lines

You can have a favorite, but none is "the best"; they all need each other to build a joke off of. Also, they each have their strengths and weaknesses

I happen to think that Paul's best partnership, or one of them, was in a Season 3 Film and Theatre Styles with Mike McShane. They kept it together brilliantly.

Back in the early 00’s when Comedy Central used to show the uk version daily I wasn’t really to interested in it. I mean you had Ryan, Colin, & Greg on a regular basis but it wasn’t until this episode that I was sold on this version of the show. Especially Paul & Tony’s F&TS.
@kcy2958115 жыл бұрын
That was a good game! The one I remember was Tony Slattery as "The Guy Who Does ITV Continuity Announcements", Josie Lawrence with "Nursery Rhymes", Paul Merton with "Yakashimo Okomo" and Mike McShane with the only real author with "Mark Twain". It was very, very funny!

Paul and Tony are great together! Tony is always funnier when he plays with other british players. He seems so reserved and amazingly shy when he's with Ryan Colin Greg etc.

@DasNutellamaedchen That's not the first Barbara Cartland joke Tony has done on Whose Line. He really doesn't like her =P The fascist thing confused me too. It's probably because she's Ronald Cartland's sister .. (He's a British Conservative Party politician).
