I hadn't seen the Changing Emotions game before, and it's really, really good. I especially like Colin's final "The good thing about last place is there's no one behind us..."

Really the Americans and Canadian seemed by far the funniest on the show. The British guys seemed way worse, the one chick was maybe the best of them the rest were not that great really certainly no where near Colin or Ryan’s level. Also people keep saying that and I’ve not been able to find any specific info on what ‘British humor’ is besides like crassness and references to anatomy or just sort of shock value comments. In general the Americans do it dramatically better even the American versions of British stuff is usually better the American office became a worldwide phenomenon that’s still talked about and quoted and the American whose line was so successful it kept going and was even rebooted for a while. Meanwhile the briths version of American stuff usually sucks like the British version of impractical jokers from what I’ve heard is not good. Also Americans pretty much invented most of these genres from variety shows with Jackie Gleason to sitcoms to prank shows with candid camera. Also I’ve never understood it really besides that people like to support other groups or they like the accent that some of them have. Impractical jokers, arrested development, it’s always sunny, even the British version of the office was based on the American movie spinal tap which invented the genre of comedy documentary. At some point someone has to define what British humor is besides like raunchiness. I mean dry wit can’t be it that’s present in more than one place and pretty much always has been. So I still can’t place what British humor is supposed to be and why it seems so amazing to some people as they say that everywhere and it always seems just kind of dumb or gross or reliant heavily upon local references and leaning into an accent to illicit a response based mostly on shared experience rather than comedic timing or wordplay or something. Also in my opinion, as an aside, I feel like slattery though fine looking isn’t really better looking that much than Ryan in terms of facial structure though maybe others focus on other features more. Ryan’s got a strong jawline. But that’s all sort of besides the point. I get why people like say Norman wisdom or even Mitchell and web those are pretty solid but not a lot about them seems unique to that area it’s just good mostly regular comedy with some refreshes to the area. So many other British comedians it seems based on being edgy and vulgar and then that makes it cool and add an accent in and boom you’ll be considered a genius. They’ve been able to use that accent like a crutch makes it a lot easier.

I see people say that a lot and I watch shows like impractical jokers that’s just like the funniest thing of all time and it’s extremely extremely American vibe to every bit of it even the concept of a prank show or reality is American as it goes all the way back to candid camera. But on top of that there’s so many other American shows and comedians going all the way back to another genre creating American movie spinal tap. There’s good British comedy sure but what is so crazy special about it no one seeks to be able to define and if you ask they get huffy and say you ‘don’t get it’. That’s often what people say when they have no other answer. It’s defensive.

"the two other guys on either end look at each other like, uh huh the two best favorites again!" You mean Steve Frost and Tony Slattery? I don't know how much you've been watching the UK version, but Tony was the king of this show. I think it was the US version that lifted Ryan and Colin to the heights they were. I mean they're great, for sure, but Slattery was the best favorite one in UK.

@NocheeseSherlock They are speaking perfectly understandable British. If you watch some British shows and comics, you'll get used to the different accents and find them easier and more enjoyable;) Try Mock the Week, 8 out 10 cats, Room 101 (Paul Merton hosted that for a while), Have I Got News For You (also a show with Paul Merton), QI (that's a must), etc..

Along with Josie Lawrence. Tony & Josie were the stars of the UK version. Ironically, they both appeared in only 37 episodes each, the most for any British performer. And Greg was a bigger star than Ryan & Colin here.

Does anyone know if Clive is best known in the UK for being a TV Show Host or what else? For example, Drew Carey was known as a Stand-up Comedian, on American Sitcom TV, before Whose Line host. What about Clive?

It seems like the major difference between US Whose Line and UK Whose Line is that UK Whose Line was a comedy program where impov artists come to show their talent and work on their craft. US Whose Line had more of a party atmosphere. Both, though, were extremely funny. Thank you for uploading all these episodes. This is one of my all time favorites.

I do think comparing the UK and US versions is unfair. no matter how you look at it, there would be no US version without the UK version. the UK version started out very different, and there were alot of growing pains there, but by each series you can see the show evolve into basically what the American version became. and that's only because the US brought the show over and continued it where the UK show left off. Rian and Colin started out on the UK version and you actually can see them evolve just as much, and honestly i think they were at their peak by series 6 > 10 of the UK show. When people dismiss the UK show, i just think you are missing out of some comedy gold then. even if you just go find certain games you enjoy from the UK show on youtube. why would you want to miss out on comedy gold? purely because there is no Drew and audience screaming to tell you something is funny?

They are both different shows. It doesn't make sense to compare them to each other. The UK version has more things to do with books, and more to do with the people onstage, and less with the people in the audience helping I personally like both of them, because they are different, and not trying to be the same, and they are intended for different audiences, which is another reason why it doesn't make sense to compare them to each other.
