HEY FRIENDS! I apologize for talking so dang fast in this video! The intro especially - I was freezing and trying to get back inside ASAP lol. I have always been a fast talker and sometimes I forget to consider that and just slip into my ~natural state~ (especially when my friends are helping me film). I hope you guys can still enjoy!! I promise I’ll watch myself and do my best to slow it down in future videos. :) thanks everyone!!

You are such a sweetheart and respond so well and mature to these things. Even though I had a hard time understanding you in this video your response to the comments you have received has made me want to subscribe because you seem like a great person.
@the_real_lin_shady5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! @@jessabyne6079 This means a ton :) Let's all hope that it warms up soon and I can film outside without freezing and becoming an actual motormouth haha. I honestly think I have a subconscious feeling that like people don't care so I like speed through things to keep people's attention but that isn't actually the most efficient thing to do I have learned!

Don't apologize for that. I found it cute. A telltale sign of a smart person is someone who talks fast. Because they have fast thoughts.

Are yall rly using plastic cups in the house everytime you get yourself something to drink? I'm from Germany and here it's not even allowed anymore by law to give customers at a shop free plastic bags to avoid using and throwing away plastic so u always have to buy one if needed. Still LOVED this house tour I'm just obsessed with everything college and greek life related 😂 rly love ur channel btw 🧡

They’re actually greenware brand and made from plants instead of normal petroleum based plastics!! They’re 100% compostable but reusable cups are still of course the best way to go! I love to hear that they do that in Germany that is so awesome!! Hoping we get some laws passed like that in all states here. Thanks so much for all the kind words and commenting - so cool to know someone in Germany watches my videos!!

I would love to hear about the prons and cons, if being a sister is expensive and time consuming and if the clichés are true and there are like a lot of superficial mean girls! Sry if this questions sound stupid but all I know about Greek Life is from movies and KZbin 😂

A lot of places in America have started banning plastic bags too, and most of schools def dont use plastic in dining halls, they have dishwashers. Its probably the sority house themselves who dont have dishwashers during non peak periods. Who knows.

Growing up in AZ as a brown Native American, the media often portrayed the southeastern USA as very racist - especially sororities. So, when I worked in Tallahassee, FL and went to graduate school at FSU I didn't want to acknowledge the presence of sorority alumna in my MPH classes. I just assumed they were racist and wouldn't even bother trying to interact let alone acknowledge they were there. But over time I got to know one of them very well. She was from Phi Mu in Georgia. She wasn't racist at all - the nicest person in the class. Looking back, I am glad I met her. Best wishes.

@the_real_lin_shady6 жыл бұрын
Hey girl thank u SO MUCH!! So we only have so much space physically, but mainly it’s because you can’t live in the house until your junior year and a lot of people will choose to live off campus in houses or apartments just for a different experience! The house is sooo convenient in my eyes so I love living here but some people aren’t as into the “dorm life” since they would have to go back to sharing a room and bathroom! :) thank you again!!

My daughter attends university at Indiana University. They have 22 sorority houses there. I think they normally fit about 150 to 200 girls in those houses. They are not mansions like Ol Miss or Alabama. She is required to live at her sorority house for 2 years. They do that so they can keep a cash flow going to pay for house expenses and it keeps the girls bonded.

What's it like being in a chapter with that many members? What is your relationship with the women you don't really know? I can't conceptualize that many members since I come from a small private college and only have about 40 women in my chapter.
@the_real_lin_shady6 жыл бұрын
It is definitely wild to think about, even for us living it! our pledge classes are about 120 people and I’d say I am friendly and know just about everyone (with each new pledge class it gets tougher but as time passes I learn more about everyone!). I still meet a lot of people just by sitting with them at lunch or dinner and that is nice. I am envious of more normal-sized sororities sometimes, I guess there are pros and cons to everything but overall I think it’s really cool! I’ve gotten to meet people from all over the country and getting to hear perspectives of people from California Florida New York and Oregon is something I never imagined I’d get out of Greek life at ole miss! :) thank you so much for watching & I hope you have an awesome week!
