Turkey receives more tourists overall, but this is due to Muslim countries (Iran, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan) and the Russians , who "necessarily" plan their holidays in Turkey b/c of no visa policy and low cost. Unsurprisingly there are also more "german" tourists in turkey than greece (5.6 mln vs 4.3 mln for 2022), but these are of turkish ancestry. Otherwise Greece receives more tourists from UK, France, USA, Italy and Scandinavia.

Loved this .Been to Copenhagen, Bruges, Scottish Highlands, Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland, Berlin, Algarve, Faroe Islands, Athens, Normandy, Lake in Austria. Up that hill. Amalfi coast recently, Budapest is a favourite we loved especially Thermal baths, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Provence, Lived in Andalusia Spain, Venice, London, Bavaria, Tuscany, Barcelona, Fjords of Norway, Paris, Dubrovnik, Swiss Alps, Rome Visited Iceland,Greece but other parts, . Did all this with my darling husband before he died January 2022. Going to Prague December
