It's basically the modern version. They couldn't use the ct125 name because of the Trail.

I think the semi-auto is good for who still want to manually engage gears (rotary setup) and use the foot for it, while not having to worry about a clutch. It's more fun than a cvt scooter.

Another comment, my 3rd lol Actually to shift down at higher rpms on the dax you need to rev match it so it's smooth. While you clunck the downshift pedal down, you blip the throttle like you're used to do with your Grom. I've discovered this aleatory. Mind you, dax is my first ever motorbike. Before that, had a 50cc twist and go like almost 10 years ago, and bought the dax this year 😂

I own and ride a freedom fighter 200, and it’s the best mini moto 100%. It’s a grom and z125 competitor, with a fuel injected 200cc one cyl, a 6 speed transmission, 25hp, and a 90mph stock top speed along w a tft display and upgraded suspension, it’s insane. All for 3k too 👌

Without watching the video, love the Dax but it's missing the transmission from the Grom. Won't be as quick, fast, or fun.

Yamaha Zuma 125 🛵... Honda Grom 125🏍️... Dax 125 🏍️... Kawasaki Z 125🏍️... The best gotta be the Trail 125 just for the throwback & nostalgia of it 👌 they are all super fun to own... MT07 much better than 09 cuz of that CP2 engine is badass, less power means u can actually use it some haha.. I absolutely love my CB500X & Zuma 125, I sold my OG 2014 Grom didn't ride it enough unfortunately 🤷 my buddy had the 2018 Grom I had the Zuma 125 we would go at it awesome racing! I had the variator kit + exhaust I would smoke him off the start, then he would pull me barely on the top end.. if I tucked in & he sit up straight it would be a tie 👔 race 😂

Problem is the dax looks better for sure but the grim is a small big boy bike whereas the dax is a big kids bike. The cf moto is arguably the most attractive mini imo. I love that classic cafe racer look

@ I forgot to ask again. Will you do a CB or CBR650 review please ??? I’m sure there’s gotta be one a dealer will let you ride or someone locally that has that bike for rent. Just wanna know mostly your perception of the motor and all. Lots of people talk crap about it “being too nerfed for A2” but I disagree it wasn’t that long ago that actual 600cc supersports only made about 95-100hp just like the cbr650

I would have picked the Dax 125 over the Grom if it came with the 5 speed manual; personally I'm not a fan of the semi-auto transmission, it just feels weird when I tried it on a Super Cub. The Monkey is still my favourite mini-moto but they're hard to find in the DFW area. I'd love to see Honda put clip-ons and full fairing on a Grom and come out with a CBR 125R to go up against the CFMoto Papio SS!

@@KirkKreifels Side note, do you happen to know what mirrors you have on your Grom? The factory circular mirrors look a bit out of place on a Grom and I was thinking of seeing if the CB650R factory mirrors will fit or a similar aftermarket option.
