Bring Me The Horizon were my absolute favorite band for years and years. I own every record from TIWTEOYSWMF to TTS on CD, saw them live multiple times, I own the Blu-rays of "Live at Wembley" and "Live at Royal Albert Hall", multiple shirts and hoodies and stuff of the band and Sempiternal I even bought as an LP, just because I love looking at it so much, and for me it is most likely the best album ever. I came to realize now, that their new music just doesn't do it for me. I don't think they 'sold out', I just honestly think that medicine is just an extremely boring instrumental with average singing, and mother tongue isn't innovative either, it sounds like something that Coldplay or Justin Bieber already topped in 2014. When I compare Hospital for Souls or It Never Ends for example to mother tongue, I just feel an enormous drop in musical quality, so much less special and emotional. BUT I see that the band I like is happy about what they're doing and that they are successful, and I would never hate on them or stuff like that. I'm gutted that I will have to move on without them, but I wish these amazing guys all the best! And if one day in the future, for whatever reason, BMTH decide to do a dark, heavy, experimential and extraordinary album again, definitely count me in guys ;) P.S.: Of course I still pre-ordered amo, just because I really think they deserve all the success in the world :) EDIT: Huge "lol" at myself. "Post Human: Survival Horror" is the best record I've heard in at least half a decade, from any band in any genre. Didn't think they would be back so fast and with such a banger. Not a single song on that EP that's not absolutely amazing.

When I was like 14 years old I got into this band and as I grew older I sort of grew out of them. Don't know why. So now, I am 25 almost and I was supposed to see them on a festival this summer and I was telling my friends that it will br such a walk down memory lane. And I actually loved "Wonderful life" and "nihilist blues", songs I heard on the radio. I never thought I'd hear them on a donestic radio station. My point is, now, 10 years after I first started listening to this band I re-discovered their music in a completely different state of mind, different part of life and the perception is different. And I love it. I love their music more than ever now.

you could literally make a drinking game out of Oli saying "you know what I mean" lmao. The album isn't for me, but I respect the choice that has been made. He's healthier now and that's all that matters.

i wish more fans could be like you, there’s no need to trash a band just because the music they’re making doesn’t appeal to you personally.

I remember the first time I heard Nihilist Blues. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced and heard. After my first listen, I knew it was going to be a song that I'll come back to frequently during the next 50 years. The track's overall cathartic heaviness, ambient musical/vocal textures, electronic dance elements, and existential lyrical content is pure novelty. Don't mean to be so dramatic, but thank you BMTH for something I'll carry with me forever.

I love how he talked about people listening to their mew music, and through that getting to their older stuff and heavier music. Before I started listening to BMTH I listened to hard rock and even some stuff that were kind of metal, but nothing near as heavy as their music... but now I listen to metal all the time, thanks to them!

We prefer music with emotion and meaning. Like he was on about TIAH was the worst point in his life, that's where masterpieces like Crucify Me came from. The recent 2 singles have been basic top 40 pop songs with Olis voice

@@StephenIC But isn't that morally wrong to enjoy from one's product of creativity when they were suffering? I sure understand where you're coming from, as music should come with a soul. But the way you put it, I don't think I can personally agree on...... Thus, I do think the meaning in the lyrics on the new songs are rather deep and produced with high quality (which is VERY RARE in these days).

I just meant his hair, although I miss the old Oli, I'm not really complaining much about the change of their music style. What I'm mostly interested on though is, what's next for the band, will it go for rapping or hip-hop or maybe even go back to their oldest sound, who knows but either way I'm still interested.

although i don't enjoy the newer music as much i think it's amazing how diverse bmth's music is! a lot of time my problem with bands is that they just make the same music over and over again, but bmth really have an album for everyone. i'm so happy that oli is in a much much better place and that hes making the music he loves. i totally get that you enjoy their earlier music better, but you have 3-4 full albums to listen to? go listen to those and instead of hating, support the happiness and new genres that bmth are exploring/experiencing now!!

When Sempiternal came out it 2013, at that time, that album was the best thing that I had ever heard. Even though I loved every second of that album, it made me so sad. I really thought that there was NO WAY they could EVER create anything that would even compare to sempiternal. Im so proud of them for proving me wrong with each new album they release.
