As someone who's been listening since Suicide Season came out I didn't know what to expect going into the album as every album is so different and unique but honestly I really loved it. You can tell it's something they're passionate about and are truly proud of. I mean just look at Oli in this interview. I love old BMTH as well but I don't want people who have no passion for making metalcore anymore to be making metalcore. I want to feel what they're putting themselves into and I did on this album.
@KevynKing5 жыл бұрын
@x _ x People change as they grow. Are you the same person you were 5, 10, 15 years go? I doubt it. Your interests change, you lose some and get new ones, you go through things in your life that maybe you didn't before that help shape you. They've said they don't really even listen to metalcore anymore. Now call me crazy but I don't want the people with no passion for metalcore to be making metalcore. This is progression. They are changing and evolving their music in a way that best suits them as the people they are now. You're free to dislike it of course but that doesn't mean it's regression.
@nihilisttendency19155 жыл бұрын
You've hit the nail on the head. Haters will whine about the change now - but neglect to think about whether they'd truly enjoy listening to BMTH if they churned out passionless, formulaic songs which sound like their past catalogue. This is refreshing, while maintaining that it is still indeed BMTH.

All these comments about being a ‘true fan’, guys, it’s okay to have a differing opinion, blind loyalty is foolish. Trying to ‘figure out’ the album is a waste of time. The album and it’s message either fits in your current situation (life) or it doesn’t. You don’t HAVE to like it - and if you don’t, you aren’t some ‘semi-fan’, or bandwagon BMTH fan, you’re just a person who exp’d the album differently. Build a bridge, get over yourself.

And it has everything. Some pop, some rock, some metal, some electronic, and some beautiful fucking songs. The album flows perfectly and every song is different. Every song has personally and unique sound. And, i really love that you can hear the instruments. In a pop song like "Medicine" and "mother tongue", you can hear the drums. Actual drums. No electronic drums, no programing, real stuff. Guitars come here and there and the bass as well. Give it a try. Forget everything you now about BMTH and just enjoy. If actual pop music was like this, everything would be so much better.

this interview really symbolises the amount of happiness oli has gained over the last year or two. Comparing this track by track to the track by track of sempiternal and even that’s the spirit is insanely juxtaposed and I’m actually living for it. Meeting them over the year has really highlighted that idea to me too. His overall persona represents so much more energised optimism. He seems so proud of this album and although the album took time to grow on me that level of proudness makes me love it so much more

Loved all your albums and I think this album is geniusss. The fact that you've constantly tried to better yourself musically and try new things is what I love about you. All your albums are different unique and represent you at that time which is realistic because no one stays the same and life is always changing, and that comes across perfectly in your music. THANK YOU for this album I love it and u guys!

I always respect for this band cause they have tried something different and every album they did was using deathcore and a little of metalcore too but when I hear this new album I like it a lot cause they are trying something new and they try to do there best making something they want to do for the band or the album and I like how they put different genres of music and having new artist on each songs and that is my thought of this new album
@emi-vb4tr5 жыл бұрын
everytime they play a few seconds of a song (before talking about it) I've been like "ugh I love this song" until I've realised again that I indeed love every single song in this album. It makes me feel so happy and emotional seeing them talk with smiles on their faces about the songs and them being glad about the album, them really having done all this. Not giving a fuck about anyone and choosing this path, producing songs with different genres and THEY CAN DO IT man

much respect for how they've all matured. i can't deny that this album isn't their most experimental and definitely the most creative, but i can say it's not my favorite album. unfortunately, some of the songs just aren't my taste, and i personally think they're trash. but, my personal genre preference doesn't mean that the songs themselves don't have great lyrics and interesting melodies. just not my cup of tea. i'm always happy when these guys release new music, so i'm excited to see what the future has in store for these gentlemen.

It’s honestly great. The fact that they still followed their heart and made the music they wanted to make regardless of the fans. Clearly they weren’t “selling out” in any aspect of the word. They got great artists to collab with, they still play their instruments, a lot of the stuff is kinda poppy, but even then it’s not like the Top 40 pop without a soul. They still have a soul. Hell it’s the fact that they were so experimental and made every song so different that they made that soul even stronger. Hell, MANTRA and medicine are in the same key, but sound completely different. I’m happy for these guys and I’m loving the album. I especially love how they acknowledge what’s said and are aware of how the fans feel and what they think. Yet they stay true to what’s important with being an artist, they’re making the art for themselves first, and sharing with us because they want to share it. Plain and simple

It's so very rare these days to have a band that makes whole complete, brilliant ALBUMS! And not just focus on 2 or 3 'singles' to sell it! I love this album! Honestly. From start to finish! An album I can listen to in the car, put on in the background, on my headphones at work, or on stereo at home. A masterpiece! I love it. I love "Spirit" too...great production and a lot of thought has gone into Amo. I appreciate great art 💖 Thank you guys. You haven't failed to restore my faith in the fact there IS good musicians still out there. Number 1 in that department.

This album is a masterpiece, through and through. Japanese bands mix genres often, and have songs that sound very different from each other on the same album. And it's creative and amazing and is probably a big part of their success. I am so glad to see this concept in BMTH music, because they are very talented.
@NikeAthletics105 жыл бұрын
BMTH are innovators and free thinkers which makes them a super unique band. People who are upset that they didn't stick to the genre they started in are just ignorant.
@nihilanthofficial53735 жыл бұрын
Matt there not ignorant. They feel like that they’ve been forgotten about and abandoned for the pop crowd. You have to agree that it would be a slap in the face to have your favorite metal band out of nowhere become a pop band and throw away what made them famous in the first place. It would make sense for fans to be upset about this change.
