But since the movie is being shelved for now we'll just be getting another new season which is to be released sometime during the spring/summer of or late 2024 so Gumball should be coming back pretty soon

Oh god, the "hit your kids" people. I once wrote an essay on why corporal punishment is an ineffective teaching strategy at best and at worst just teaches kids to fear their parents for a class, and when I presented it good lord did some of those people justify it hard. One guy even reacted to my personal story of "My mom didn't hit me that much, but it was enough to make me think that it was better to lie about problems than tell her the truth and risk punishment" with "She should have hit you more."

That's so stupid what I learned from those kinds of punishment is that I needed to be physically and emotionally abusive in my teen years justifying it by punishing other people instead of whatever my parents were teaching.

Nah whoopings stopped me from doing dumb shit as a kid. I did something wrong therefore I got punished. It was either that or I got my games and stuff taken for months until I shape up, I would rather take the whooping. It’s not that bad honestly, I personally felt worse for letting my parents down in that instance than the actual whooping itself

Did you know for Power Puff Girls. There’s a magical girl anime version where the 3 girls are just normal elementary students or something, and they get hit by chemical “Z” that gives them sailor moon transformations? They each get their own weapons like Bubbles gets a giant bubble wand, buttercup gets a giant toy hammer (usually used for rock-paper-scissors), and blossom gets a yo-yo.

I keep seeing the wiki and fans state why Gumball despises Alan: he just hates how good-hearted and smart Alan is and wishes to be the same. And while I could understand that reasoning if that’s the case, is Gumball really that lazy to try? I can’t say I completely blame Gumball, since everyone has a vendetta against someone who did nothing but just exist, but it seems very toxic 😅

Yea. Like the saint is where i couldn't stand gumball. Alan is a very nice guy yet this pisses off gumball?? And if gumball wishes to be like him, then he should at least try, but he doesn't. Instead he is mostly selfish and he mostly behaves as major a jerk to most people.

I remember when I was in college I pulled an all nighter on a project and had to Uber home at like 4am. When I get in the car I do the usual "hi, how are you" small talk and explain why I'm getting home so late and that I'm exhausted. Even then, it's just nice to see a protagonist is isn't against being an asshole like most people are. Aside from the Boomster, were you guys only childs? OMG, I think me and my brother are the reason that "professional wrestling" now has a disclaimer on it to not try this at home. While we never went to the extreme of jumping off of rooftops onto tables, I can't tell you how many coffee tables we broke .... or bed slats, couch legs .... looking back at it now, jeebus. Absolutely I’ve never once had to hit my kids and am constantly told how shocked they are because my kids are so well behaved. Everyone is always so surprised how good they are. My kids don’t fear me because they shouldn’t fear me, I’m their father and they’re supposed to trust I’ll protect them, not hurt them Parenting without hitting your kids is absolutely harder and takes more patience. That’s the issue, most people are lazy and not willing to spend the extra time to properly be a parent and use fear instead because it’s easier
