Sortimo W-BOXX better than L-BOXX?

Must be nice to live in Europe. I'm on Bosch platform, and they sell a grand total of 4 options of L-Boxx on my country. 3 sizes and the internal compartments one. That's it.

Just feels wrong. In the UK the packout boxes are black which helps, makes them more neutral. I like that sortimo are branded for all sort of makes. Still can't put a Makita in a Bosch box

Nice review and comparison with the L-Boxx. I am looking at some W-Boxxes for small-part storage (e.g. screws), but I was wondering how close the insert boxes come to the lid of the W-Boxx. Is there a gap where small screws and/or nails might escape from?

Yes there is a gap on the w-boxx as the lid folds over but the lid also closes over the top of the inserts so small items should not escape. On the l-boxx there is a rigid foam part which creates a seal with the inserts. Regardless, the w-boxx is a cheaper way to buy the inserts and you get the box, so the risk for trying is low

Thanks! I am standardized on the L-BOXX system for all my tools, but your review helped me choose for the W-BOXX as a standard for storing small items. The significant lower price of course make this decision easier to make 🙂

Good to hear, the great thing is your investment in the w-boxx is safe as it's the cheapest way to get the inserts. It's a no brainer
