As someone who is asexual I really appreciate Todd's journey of self-discovery in this show. Asexual representation in media feels incredibly rare. In most cases it falls under the umbrella of leaving it open-ended that a character isn't interested in sexual relationships without having it be a process of self-realization. And even in those cases it's not spelled out, so the audience usually ends interpreting those characters as being gay rather than asexual, and that becomes the accepted headcanon. And then there's the other category of asexual characters who are either robots or robotic. Asexual characters usually being presented as emotionless is the equivalent of portraying every gay character as overly flamboyant. It's a stereotype that isn't accurate with reality. So Todd's character is a rare case inside an already rare category.

Todd deciding to look after himself after 3 seasons of Todd-foolery is a breath of fresh air.

I love this episode. Todd is an important character in terms of representation and this episode is iconic in his story

This episode really solidified why Todd is one of my favorite characters. Especially towards the end of this episode.

The fallout of Todd and Bojack was so painful but it was necessary. Todd finally deciding to prioritise himself all while taking care of others as well shows his growth.

I always overlook this episode when I think of all the amazing ones in season 4, but this is so wholesome (and funny). Definitely a worthy addition to the season 4 pantheon!

Season 4 is my favorite and also probrably the most rewatchable season of them all. The show is great, but I always find myself watching or listening to this season while I go other things, it has soo much replay value.

The choice to have Todd playing an instrument with an orchestra was apparently a tribute to a couple of classic old cartoons…. Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny both did an orchestra episode

Any type of representation this show does never feels lazy, forced, corporate, shoved in there for the sake of some Hollywood checklist. Love it.

He has major dysfuntions too. He's simply lucky and so it rarely becomes a problem he needs to face because against all odds it always works out for him. It's actually why his character grates on me because he's the one character who gets to escape his problems without much self-reflection.

Todd's still a massive slacker and is similar to Mr. Peanut butter except Todd has a bit more self-awareness and less resources to fall back on. But he's still as flawed as everyone in this show.
