Mikkel’s monologue at the end of the episode is one of my favorites. Mikkel in general is my favorite character along with Jonas. With all the incest talk and cooking that was happening, I’m surprised that you guys didn’t talk about Martha being Jonas’ aunt AND his crush 😂 Poor Jonas getting this bombshell dropped on him after he just made out with his aunt lol

This is one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. The Mikkel thing was never a surprise to me because as someone who enjoys languages and knows the variations for different names I knew Mikkel was Michael from the beginning. Mikkel, Michael, Mikhail, Misha, Mikhal, Michel, Miguel, etc they're all the same name: "He who resembles God." Noah is probably my favorite character in the story, and I actually really enjoy Ulrich as well.

Funny thing: Yes, from what I can tell the game they were playing is an actual game. It is called "The Surge (2)" and is developed by "Deck 13" which is a development studio situated here in Germany (one of very few at this point because unfortunately the Gaming Industry was never really pushed by your government and therefore never managed to get big in Germany)

FYI Time travel into the future (at different rates) has been experimentally proven already. See for example the Wikipedia article "Experimental testing of time dilation". Atomic clocks have been sent into the future (relative to stationary atomic clocks) for example. It's not disputed or "a theory". It has been done and tested. Btw. GPS has to correct for the different flow of moving atomic clocks with weaker gravity in the satellites to make correct position measurements possible.

This is the first series I’ve ever watched about time travel. I was born a year after Back To the Future came out and too young to remember any of the rewatches my siblings had so the Mikkel = Michael was a total shock to me 😅 Funny enough my husband’s name is Michael and my mom’s nickname for him has been Mikel so really should have clicked sooner 🤪 Side note: 33 is very symbolic of occults but most importantly Jesus lived to be 33 years old when he was crucified (also very important to the occult) and several other Biblical references to 33.

One of the things that Dark could have done clearer (I have no idea if you discuss it or not maybe you do). There's supposed to be a link between Jonas talking to the Stranger and his decision to not go with Bartosz to meet the dealer. He told him to consider all his choices, and that's why he's choosing Martha over Bartosz.

Sometimes I don't even understand what tangential thought Caleb is trying to shut down as Jacob is formulating his point. Edit: Actually, I get it: Jacob is obsessed with talking about anime/shows from a "meta" perspective of "the characters are going through X and Y because of their inability to reckon with Z and this serves as a great bed for such a story to sit on (as he smirks, strokes his beard and whispers 'Im somewhat of an author myself...'" whereas Caleb prefers to talk about the ACTUAL events of the episode they just watched and then theorize about what might come to pass in future episode as a result. This dichotomy is what is so great about the bros but is also what leads to those awkward moments where Caleb gets visibly frustrated with Jacob's stream of consciousness-esque contributions.
