Aside from the ham radio part, this video reminds me of growing up in Ohio and having hills, creeks(cricks!!) all the woods to hike thru. Such nostalgia for me, now 80 years old!!! THANK YOU for this video Chris. Alex K5UNY

The weighted kx2 knob? I bought the radio used and it was already installed. I installed the heat sink sides myself. Sorry if this information doesn’t help. I do like the knob though!

It's cake. You just pop off the stock knob (it's just friction fit), slide the new one on, and tighten the set screw. Wayne from Elecraft doesn't recommend using a heavier knob on the KX2 though. Apparently the KX2 encoder isn't super robust. That being said, lots of people have that same knob on their radios with no problems. I have one for mine, but I currently have the stock knob on it.
