This one is in depth, love it. Just finished my floor, I can tell its not perfectly straight but no one else can haha. Wish I would have seen the line snap video first. I had no Hallways though. I look at every laminate floor now differently and I notice a lot are really crooked. Cheater bar and planing changed the game for me.

Just finished my lvp install and thanks to your expert tips and tricks it went very well. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Thank you! I did want to add one thing when using the permanent marker to mark your cut lines, if you have to remove the marker from the plank do it as soon as possible. It isn't so easy to remove after the marker has been on the plank for a while.

Thanks for showing the instalation under the baseboard heaters. My question is how do you keep the LVP from separating under the baseboard heaters. I have a room that has baseboard heaters the entire length of two walls. I will not be able to lock those areas down with moulding. Im worried over time it will work loose and separate. Im installing on a slab. I was considering drilling and screwing that row in place. Thanks for advice!

Hi Joe- I have a question, the last pieces (vinyl) is about 1.25" from the walls (no matter where I start, I cannot have the last pieces more than 2" wide), Can I cut 1" wide along the vinyl planks to lock to the last pieces to cover the gap. The baseboards that I use are 1/2 " thick, even if I use 3/4" thick baseboards I still cannot cover the 1.25". So what is the best solution for this situation? Thanks!

Prob a basic question which you've probably answered in another vlog - I'm looking at laying backed vinyl - is there movement in vinyl tiles/planks? Is it absolutely necessary to remove skirting board (your baseboard) to allow for this? I have a reasonably large area with many doorways and rooms so am dreading removing the skirting boards and reapplying. Love your vlogs. Very informative!!

Greetings from Michigan, I just installed The Vinyl plank flooring in our 1/2 bath, now Iam swapping the vanity for a pedestal sink. I’m unsure when it comes to securing the pedestal to the floor. Due to the expansion wouldn’t that cause issues by zipping a screw through the floor? I thought maybe drill a half inch hole in the Vinyl where I where I screw into floor joist and put a washer on it to allow expansion, I guess I shoulda installed Pedestal before installing floor

I do it in rental properties. Tenants don't take care of things the way homeowners do. I've refinished beautiful hardwood before only to have it destroyed in 2-3 years. When selling time comes it can always be lifted back up in a day

Because the old flooring is dated and in rough shape. If you want to spend thousands refinishing it go ahead, but evp is cheaper than a refinish and looks much better and is faster.

We use carpet knives to score and break out rips and three cuts. Rarely have to get up of of the floor, which is good because we're older and fatter than we used to be.

I'm going to be installling a laminate floor in a 6 x 10 ft. area in a van conversion. It has quite a few cutouts. But I was wondering does laminate have any off-gassing? Also any recommendations for getting hands on help once I start? I have never done any kind of floor installation. Also, do you know much about this flooring - titan hd plus 2002v vinyl plank ?

Question: I have 2 hallways one is a hallway/ laundry room, parallel to our longest wall that leads into our living room, second hallway is a long hallway that runs 90 degrees to the first and parallel to our shortest outside wall. We are laying LVP, so which way would be best. Either way will cause short runs in onw hallway.

That’s a good question. I’ve been laying floor for a few years and I normally go in the direction my clients prefer, but I’d love to see what the consensus answer is
