I have the SOTO Windmaster (4-flex) and the MSR Pocket Rocket 2. The Windmaster is my absolute favourite and it's super silent! I can regulate the flame pretty well and manage to simmer food too. I use it with small pots, Bialetti coffee pots, larger pots, frying pans... I have the SOTO Thermostack Combo and the Navigator Cookset. The Windmaster stove fits nicely inside the Combo. That's my go-to cookset when hiking alone. I'm pleased to see more people use the Windmaster. It's a great little stove! Sturdy, silent, efficient.

I love it, performs very well in the wind without using a shield - top stove

The only thing that stops me from replacing my Primus etalite system with soto wind master is that in terms of stability on uneven ground and fuel efficiency Primus wins. But it's heavier.

Nice vid Chris. My favourite backpacking stove. It’s brilliant. Never needed a windshield, but do have a Solo Stove windshield just in case. Can recommend the tri-flex adaptor for the Soto when using smaller pots like the one you have in the video. Good testing conditions too Chris. Keep up the great work. Cheers.🍻🍺

Good video. I’ve use the WINDMASTER in blustery conditions without a shield for quite a few trips and wild camps. It never went out. In the last couple of weeks I’d did a wild camp on top of Mellbreak and on another hike around the fells to the west of Mellbreak. On Hen Comb it was chilly and blustery. Again this little machine pulled it off. Lest than half the price of a jetboil.

Belter little stove , my vango wind guard is far too small for my stove FFS ! total waste of money ! I love having the canal so close to home , try to walk down it as often as I can , especially for a brew and a chill out , thanks for the video

Awesome stove. Personal opinion though, i now use a remote cannister stove. Although bigger/heavier (than some) i prefer the stability it has being low to the ground. Never needed a windshield with it. X kettle or trangia kettle sits solid on it. Great little vid anyways, that just my 2 pence worth. Cheers again dude.✌🏻

Ahhhhh Bisto some more Evening First Class Outdoor Entertainment from Chris and MCM Outdoors. Simple but Another Relaxing outdoor escape. That Soto Windmaster is definitely on my list as a second Stove being so compact and Doing what was a great job boiling up the water so quick. Loved this Video Chris🙏Thoroughly enjoyed it👍🥾⛺️ Oh and Chris I’m wanting that Red Jacket your wearing but Struggling to Find that specific model unless it’s the one I’ve found called “Changabang” by mountain Warehouse. Not sure of their fit size as I’m an XXL in my Berghaus and North Face being a 50” Chest.

@@MCMOutdoors Google speedster backpacking products and they will build you a stove to fit your favourite pot. It’s like a pot stand and windshield in one. You will have to buy the relevant burner from them to suit the pot size. You have to send them the measurements. I would love to see you do a review of one and hear what you think. 👍
