Oh, I definitely appreciated them at the time. It was one of the most played CDs in my collection, and there was some fine CDs in there. I saw them in concert in 92 at the Roxy with STP. Then later I saw them at San Diego State University OAT (it's called something else now) in '93 with Screaming Trees and Spin Doctors.

@@supernovavideoz Right. The 90s for me were some of the best times. I had some tragedies. I lived a pretty rough life. But honestly I wouldn't trade it for anyone else's because it brought me here. You don't see the heart and soul in today's music. Honestly half the time I don't even know what the fuck their talking about. Still trying to figure out wtf a "fetty wap" is. Is that like a derogatory term for an Italian celebration or??? I feel so old and in the way. Lol. I used to see Dan and Dave a ton when I lived in Madison, Wi. They used to just randomly show up and play in the student union. I remember they were very down to earth and humble. This was the late 80's before they really became famous. They always were very surprised when the audience loved songs like this. Run Away Train and this song, they were tweaking way before it was released so the student union ( and I'm assuming others), was really a testing ground for songs like this. It was a difficult time in my life but I knew almost every weekend I could see Dan and Dave (for free btw), so that really pulled me through.

It's his vocals. They're rub me the wrong way. Out of key and pretty grating on the nerves. Just my opinion though.

TexasAmericanPatriot This was a race baiting video. I lived this time in my early twenties. This video hasn't changed it's message since...F Soul Asylum for even making this video. Nice tune, bad message.

TexasAmericanPatriot "black gold" is a term used for oil. that explains the imagery all over the video of oil puddles as well as why he says "fill up the tank, we'll go for a ride."
