Soul Blazer Speedrun (Any%) -

Soul Blazer SNES version, played on North American SNES console (modded for component video output) with OEM controller (no turbo). Timing is from gaining character control to start of Deathtolls's death animation.
Solid improvement thanks to overall cleaner movement & no unintentional deaths. Used the Ice Armor safety route (costs about 2-2.5 minutes in return for a much safer Light Shrine, Southerta, and Leo's Basement) and had some costly mistakes on Poseidon & Demon Bird. Still enjoying keeping this as a pretty casual speedgame that I just do a few runs of every year (without much grinding or practice), but maybe some day I'll feel motivated to take it more seriously and go for sub-1:40.

Learning the lore of this game might actually bring light to new avenues of possibility of a potential other successive part in the series perhaps if this were to ever get another release. Would you at least entertain the idea? Ponder this friends, yes?
