I'm not gonna lie. Having just finished voldos story just before viewing this video, I gotta say he's actually probably one of the most respectable people in soul calibur. Especially that ending. It's amazing how trusting loyal and faithful he is to vercci. It makes you realize even the freakiest and most mentally broken characters can have depth and personality. Especially how valued that box is to vercci, its kinda heart warming honestly even if vercci is evil and voldo is probably the creepiest character in this series.

I really get amazed by Voldo. His present story is really nicely written, but I'm heavily interested in his past. I hope in potential sequels we will get to see more of his memories and potentially his younger self and even hear his young voice. Like how once a man turned into a monster.

I enjoyed voldo story its very interesting and im glad i got to kno more abt the history behind the money pit... i always wonder abt it and loved the stage. I wish this was video in action but it was like reading a book...im jus surprised voldo gave up his life jus to service vercci... he sacrifices his sight n voice for this man smh... i wonder if he was in love wit him kuz thts the only time a man will go that far and it not being their kid or family member ...kuz voldo hasnt had a love in his life and he services this guy since he was a young teen🤔 cant wait to find more out n the secrets of the money pit🤑

pandagamer I’m sure the devs already forgot about some of the characters’ lore, like for Yoshimitsu II (the Yoshi of SC 5 and 6) and how he lost his arm. He originally lost it due to the sword eating away at his right arm after picking it up and decided to amputate what was left and then replace it. In SC 6, the story stated that the overwhelming power of the lord’s army costed him his arm. I don’t know if it’s petty for me to be bothered by the change of lore but I kinda wish they kept to the original story

Wait... they changed the location of the Black Tail Inn. Originally, it was implied to be in England, as Ivy's mother left her on the doorsteps of her adoptive parents' mansion, and she was raised by an Earl and Countess in London (the same couple who took her in). I mean, you know, why go all the way from Spain (bearing in mind, this was an era where everyone travelled long distance by boat/ship) to drop off a baby? Why not just give her to some well off family somewhere in some hillside/mountain village, relatively close by (I dunno)?

All the stories were fantastic for me. But really. The difficulty for this mode is realy dumb, most of the time the AI is just waiting there to be obliterated, if they wanted to make the Story Mode friendly for everybody, at least they should had included a hard mode after finishing it once.

At that point you are right. Now that I see it, it's actually good in some way. Just some scenes when characters express pain or surprise are a little weird without seeing anything, but it's well executed in the rest.

I mean animation for a lot of soul calibur games in terms of cutscenes are pretty short lived. The only exception I can think of is maybe soul calibur 3, but that's mainly just the same cutscene with a different character. Soul Calibur 4 did try to be more cinematic but that was just three cutscenes and a character ending, not much else. Then there was Soul Calibur 5 in which i can't even remember anything from that game.

Kind of agree, I wish it was like SC4. Although when a CGI cutscene does eventually happen in SC6, its almost feels like an unexpected reward after all the reading in the story mode.
