you ever love a show so much that when you look back at it trying to get a friend into it you're a bit flabbergasted at the impression of it you remember? Like...I ADORE Soul Eater, have done for years and always will, but sweet Jesus why was I ever so blasé about night-time scenes automatically coming with bloody teeth? Or any number of horrific imagery that are more or less the sole focus on the AMVs? Again, I love the Soul Eater style, it's just blowing my mind the more I try to find an amv to show a friend I tried to promote the show to from my own memory that won't make her look at me like im a psycho, that what I remember most of all is the characters and the comedy. When I think of first meeting Professor Stein I think of the wheely chair gag or Black Star popping up just fine after the electrocution at the perfect moment. But framed by the freaky (badass but freaky for a reason) music and the rest of this collection of nightmare fuel (awesome images but still nightmarish for a reason), it's suddenly hitting me that the comedy SOMEHOW stuck with me more than the visual of Black Star's eyes bulging in a way that convinced the other characters and, in retrospect, ME as I watched that he was in agony and not going to survive this. what the actual hell, brain?

The only reason this video didn't scare me, is because I kept laughing at the use of DTK's OCD moments. I love how people use his idiot moments and portray them as being scary! Awesome vid~
