This is classic. I remember being a kid and my mom listening to this while she cleaned our house. My twin brother and I'd sit on the stairs and sing this song. Memories. Better Times. Classic music.

If its a wicked song (which it is) how's is it ever gonna age? A piano will always sound the same and so will a violin.
@GBMatthew07 Жыл бұрын
@@rnw2739 Because some songs do not age well regardless of quality. Instrument sounds are different to compositions, tempo etc. You don't really make a lot of sense and just seem to be being pedantic.
@rnw2739 Жыл бұрын
@GBMatthew07 That is true but not in this case and you know it. I'm not being pedantic at all, you are just being histrionic and dobn't like to be challenged, clearly. Please tell me where a regular piano (as used here) akunds different to another regular piano ...tempo is tempo, again that has no bearing on dating a song. I'm generally curious as to how the song can date, unless the lyrics were specifically talking about events from 1989...
@GBMatthew07 Жыл бұрын
@@rnw2739 Wow seriously get a life, clearly many others knew exactly what I meant. Also there can be huge differences in the sounds produced between pianos alone etc. You're obviously just out for an argument and I'm not interested.

I lived in Atlanta and used to travel home for the holiday to New Orleans. I met a young lady name Julie, who's brother went to Xavier University in New Orleans. We hung out during the entire train ride. Julie was listening to songs on her headphone and I recall hearing this song. We both loved Soul II Soul. Every time I hear this song I am reminded of my brief encounter with Julie-my train mate who had good taste in soul music. Can't believe how time has flown by, I always wonder what happened to Julie. I am sure she married and had kids.
