I am a HUGE Soul Stirrers fan. My Dad and his brothers, The Taylor Brothers, met Sam Cooke when he first joined The Soul Stirrers. My dad would always tell me strories about the concerts and the various groups they sung with. I've had the opportunity to meet several of the groups including both Soul Stirrers. The Original Soul Stirrers sung at my group's Anniversary as a tribute to the relationship between them and The Taylor Brothers. My Sister led Touch The Hem and I bassed for them. FUN!!

It's nothing like witnessing these type of singers of Gospel. I minister to an old Deacon of the church I grew up in and I'll be sure to let him see this. He had a deep baritone voice and when we sing hymns, as senile as he is, he'll join right in as if he hasn't forgotten a thing. It's amazing. This will bring joy to his soul. Thanks for sharing.

@@DaEnTaPrise3570 yesir GOD Bless you my friend, hopefully we'll meet someday and continue on our father's legacy, I sing in my own group here in Syracuse The Sons of Legends, going south soon to do a demo with my dad, just like your dad and mines, they are Legends themselves, and that's where I got the name, so I'm so very happy you responded, hopefully we can record a song together in a tribute to them,

Have you posted Part 2, yet? I would love to hear the rest of the story. The Soul Stirrers are one of my Favorite groups. I try to learn as much of their history as I can. And what better way to learn than from a member. Thank you, Mr. Huffman for taking time out to give this history.
