I think what I didn’t like about this is that everything and everyone attacks you on sight. Even as a human, attack on sight. It would be nice to play a human and go blend into the town and cities before you choose to burn them down.

Yes, I have never seen other races attacking each other however they instantly go after the player. I was literally chased by 6 different races simultaneously.

IKR, the algorithm gods have blessed me with Splat. Like 1/3 games he shows I'm like "WTF I never heard of that but it looks really cool." And I love the humor and upbeat attitude he brings. Reminds me of a good friend I had that moved away. C'est la vie. But it's fun watching.

It seems a nice suggestion, until you try being the sprite artist, then you realise this suggestion is purely cosmetic, time consuming, and looks ugly if the wrong sprites overlap, after a while the whole idea frustrates you and you quickly wanna throw the idea away XD Sorry >_> personal experience rant.

I played this demo like 6 days ago or so, really enjoyed it. Finished the entire demo area on my 2nd run, because I found out ANY corpse can become a zombie minion, and you can have infinite minions. So by the time I killed everything on the map I had an entire army following me around! Edit: Also you can change the keybinds to Numpad, much better.

Problem with this is that the zombies suck in the 1.0 version, they do 1 damage and they get wrecked by even farmers.

Doubt it was you that caused it. The video is 39 min long and there was clear timeskips. Even if there wasn't timeskips that's 6 min to edited and upload to KZbin. And that's not counting any testing the game out offscreen and downloading. Probably just a coincidence. Lucky coincidence.

the only issue i think is the co-operation between factions, orcs and elves working together in peace lol elves in the orc village hanging out, makes the world feel gameish like it only exists to kill the player, rather then the feeling that you're a god waking back up into an actual living world with it's own problems aside from you. Maybe I'm kind of spoilt because it's a very good game but i can't enjoy it knowing how close to perfect it is. I hope someone can mod it and then i will buy.

I'm curious, is there anything, anything at all that doesn't spark your enthusiasm? This is crud and not only is it crud, but it's literally been made in various forms by untold thousands of coding students since the dawn of computers. You could find a hundred game like this for free if you looked. Nethack, which is the grandfather I guess for this genre, has been in development for 35 years and it still is. It's a lot more complex than this (not that that takes a lot), and you can play it for free.

The graphics style of the game hammers home how important animation is to me. When I first saw a screenshot of the gameplay the art style bothered me, but the second I saw stuff was animated it was an immediate sigh of relief. I know it might seem silly, but I've gotta have a world that's got a feeling of motion in it or I start getting bored as heck.

And much, much more! 16 Different evil Player Races, like Human, Lizardman, or Troll, or even Golem, Rotting Abomination, Gnoll, or Genie! All offering different starting bonuses, skills, and playstyles! The Vampire doesn’t need food, he needs blood! 🧛 And the Troll needs a LOT of food to fuel that wild regeneration. And Liches? Liches consume the very Life Essence of everything around them, rotting the very grass beneath their feet! 8 Classes to play, like Warlock, Fallen Knight, or Necromancer, let you shape the kind of character you want to play. Looks like this could be a fun game, heavy on the resource management though. If they don't already have any, it needs vendors of some kind (cultists maybe?) and either the option to increase or turn off equipment durability (a construct race that increases durability would be cool). Maybe its KZbin, but it seems like a very dark game too. I feel like I'm straining my eyes trying to see everything going on in the video.

The maker of the game said that he works on the game alone and can't make everything quickly. The game was intended as trade and travel simulator at first, but was too boring, so he turned it to battle focused. There's a mod that turns off durability. Maybe soon the mods for traders will appear?

@@neksuscat the mod doesn't work well with tiles, it needs an update. Right now it's a zero-to-antihero traditional roguelike witg heavy emphasis on repair and crafting. Fun but extremely challenging since Dev pulled a Kenshi like world with no respawns or second chances. At level 3-4 you still do crap damage and are heavily reliant on items which break faster than the speed of light. Min-maxing and casters are heavily encouraged. With default strength you won't be able to carry materials for crafting or even equip all armor slots so you'll get a lot of backtracking to craft/repair.

@@olaf5929 yeah, I'm playing as Lich-Necro rn and still need to buff up my Str to carry stuff, I know. Gotta agree, the caster classes are easier to play than any other. Played as Poucher using bows, but any enemy that outruns, outdamages or sees father than I do, kill me very quickly. Hopefully new mods will spawn to help you build your own walls, make allies and not just summon undead or wolves, and trade with those who might not know who's not outright hostile to you.

Necromancer can be early game easy mode. Find a bunch of corpses to build your zombie army. They are weak and die easy, so they probably don't scale well. They do make great meat shields though.

Is it even possible to repair your gear? or finding the materials and crafting a new one is the only option? (apart from taking the weapons from dead enemies, obviously) also how did you 1. harvest the berries ? 2. extract meat from the corpse without moving the said corpse to your inventory? you should repair the equipment using the free anvil and grindstone and then salvage you will get a higher chance of getting more or better items from your salvage
