Pantera and soulfly where who I went to see. Sepultura was on your for roots and did the first unofficial ozzfest in 1995. 96 was the first official ozzfest. Sharon came up with the idea. Sepultura stole the show. Except sabbath played together for the first time in 20 years it was ozzy's 50th birthday. Did anyone else attend that show the corestates center. Narcotic gypsies ( took an opening dump while we got beer and found seats) danzig was next I'm a huge misfits fan and early danzig and Samhain. But danzig fired chuck biskuts, jon christ and eerie von and replaced them with a drum machine and a sythacisor, and no real instruments. He did an entire set of blackacidevil techno metal/ industrial. Which was so bad I can't remember anything about his set. But noises. Then sepultura hit the stage. I knew arise and morbid visions and thought of them as a slayer type band. After that show sepultura became one of my favorites of all time. I bought bestial deviation, morbid visions, arise, chaos a.d, roots, psychophrenia and they came back in 1996 I saw them again high autistic jam 50 guys on tribal drums. Every song was great. Then they broke up. I bought against with derrick green and soulfly self titled. Max wiped the floor with sepulturas debut without him. Then primative But soulfly was better max is the writer. . I saw them at ozzfest they where after the melvin's bad ass. Life long sepultribe and soulfly tribe. Cavalera fan. Also discovered cavalera consiracy and nailbomb. Black sabbath played for an hour after ozzy's band played for an hour. At every ozzfest. I attended every ozzfest from 1995 until then ended it in 2021 I think. Can't remember exact dates. But saw sabbath 10 times atleast. Pantera and superjoint where healiners aswell as type o negative. 1990"s where the greatest decade of music.
