The video is very nice , your conversation was interesting and yang speaking “nepali” in between made it fun to watch. But dont know why i felt offended, maybe because being a nepali , watching nepali cuisine or vegetables, everything in that market and those food is what nepali people eat basically. And churpi’s or those tibetan cuisine ‘s to be called special cuisine from sikkim No no i didnt liked it, its not “ from” sikkim its eaten “in” sikkim because of these indians from nepalese background living there. Biryani/ pao bhaji/ pani puri are eaten in nepal too but we dont call it our cuisine we address them as “ indian” cuisine Sorry for putting my feelings out here. Im not being rude just felt strange as you never once mentioned it as food from other countries. Why??
@Eatstory4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for sharing your honest feedback. I understand what you’re saying. There was no intention to offend anyone. I was told that a lot of these ingredients/dishes are common amongst Sikkim, Darjeeling and Nepal. For example, here in Sikkim they call Kinema as Nepali Kinema and Nepali Sel Roti. So I only learned this from my first visit of the market. Our only purpose was to share what we learnt, not to offend. I firmly believe in ‘credit must be given where it’s due.’ ☺️✌🏻
@ameesc74904 жыл бұрын
Eatstory thanks for the reply ,,, it was just the loyalty towards my country speaking. I think an indian would be disappointed if Pakistani made it feel like biryani or kheer are their food. Thank you for understanding👍🏻 i liked everything else about the video , the foods you, your friend , culture around sikkim and how she was speaking Nepali in between. Im indian by marriage and i love india too equally. Love both country’s cuisine’s☺️

Loved your content. Something really refreshing and raw. Ethnic foods represented at it's best and ohh the background score is just the best. Keep up the great work.

These videos are like breeze of fresh air. When you can't go out or couldn't try new cuisines, watch these. The depiction, camerawork and warmth is delicious.
