Mr. Mechner, in my opinion your dad created one of the most atmospheric videogame tunes ever. I could never get past the third guy in the Apple II version, but I came back again and again to hear the Intro, Hero's theme, Mariko's theme over and over again.. (the death theme I heard too much ha.) Thank you both.

This is what making great games is all about. Meticulously putting in puzzles, stuff to figure out where everything work harmoniously together. Unlike most games today where random elements is put into the game and the game just ends up feeling like a soul less free for all without much thought or care behind it.

I wonder if the makers of Sifu saw this game and took inspiration from it. It's impossible that wouldn't have been the case

You had Christopher Tin for the music in the remake!? 😯 I'm averting my eyes. Edit: Impressive usage of the music as a game element btw.

There really is something to be said on how awesome this game and the music is. Oh, and this is said by a blind person who finished the game both on Xbox and iPhone.

Please make a soundtracks (music tracks) and sell them through Sound Cloud and Spotify. I don't want to play, but you have spend so much forces on making quality sounds.

"...was a short game that took a long time to master. So how can we translate that to 2012?" Columbo: "I'm no game expert, I'm all thumbs with those controller thingy's, but how about...a long game that takes a short time to master?"🕵🏻♂️

Jordan Mechner = Kare-a-tee-ka... Everyone else... Ka-ra-ta-ka. I don't care either way. I love both games. However the Commodore 64 version (as music is concerned) sounds so much better than the Apple II. But that's not fair considering that the C64 was made in the middle of the AII's heyday. Regardless of your flavor, it's such an awesome game on all platforms.... except for consoles. The NES version was horrible and didn't translate well to a gamepad.

The new karateka is too easy. You have to fix it
