Similarities of sonar and radar : both are used in finding the distance of the object by sending the signals which bounce back. Difference of sonar and radar: radar uses uses radio waves which are a type of electro magnetic energy while sonar uses the method of echo in which it can detect the distance of the body from the submarine to the sea bed or it is also used to detect the objects under water. I Hope it is the required answer ... Sir ur explanation was something which is more than excellent.... please come up with some more videos A bale bale from my side..

sir in 5:55 when two people talks in the same moment nd we are hearing it , that time we are able to little bit differentiate b/w what they both are talking about, does that means ki ye 0.1 mai jo reflection hoti hai vo ek particular sound wave ke liye hoti hai.. (edit 4-7-2021): Tysm for 13 likes, mere pehle comment mai itna support😅😅

No brother the time period 0.1 s is the time till which a sound persists in our brain but here what you are hearing in reverberation is the same sound not a different one Hope it will help if there's another doubt also ask me in the comment section only

Homework Similarities 👇 *SONAR stands for Sound Navigation and Ranging, and *RADAR stands for Radio Detection and Ranging. As their name suggests both are used for navigation and detection of different properties and attributes of objects. The waves are basically emitted from a source towards the object and once the waves strike the object they bounce back towards the source and are detected using detectors. This way the range and distance of the objects can be measured. Differences 👇 They both use two fundamentally different waves for detection purposes. A RADAR uses radio waves or electromagnetic waves that do not require any medium to travel and SONAR uses ultrasonic or sound waves for detecting targets.

They are similar in that they both detect the reflection of a transmitted signal. ... They also both also serve as acronyms for a much longer description, with RADAR being short for Radio Detection and Ranging and SONAR for Sound Navigation and Ranging.

Both radar and sonar locate objects from the echo of a signal that is bounced off the object. Radar uses radio waves, which are a type of electromagnetic energy. Sonar uses the echo principle by sending out sound waves underwater or through the human body to locate objects. Sound waves are a type of acoustic energy. Because of the different type of energy used in radar and sonar, each has its own applications.I am lisari sir

Sir I want to ask that if we take speed of sound 344m/s so the distance will 17.2m and if we take speed of sound 340m/s so the distance will 17m, so can we say that 17.2m and 17m both are correct? Pls reply.
@scrimwar23003 жыл бұрын
No it may cut off your marks in important exams because sound travels a lot in minor time periods Otherwise you can write this still writing g = 9.8m/s2 will be better than writing g=10m/s2 don't take risk

Sonar requires a medium to move through, most notably water. Though sonar can work through air as well such as with a Bat's echolocation ability. Radar sends out radio waves which are part of the electromagnetic spectrum (just as light is, only a different frequency)

Sir I have a doubt, you said that reflection of sound occur but we can't hear it if it was in 0.1sec but in case of reverberation we can hear sound for long time and the sound is same so how can our ear hear it, the distance is also small in one closed room. Sir please clear my doubt. 🙇🙇🙏By the way the session was amazing🙋🙋🙌💜💜
