Bro.............I just wanna start off by saying that I really appreciate this video fam. First of all, in the beginning, I'm not gone lie, I fucked with Unison, especially during the moments of their Midi Packs. But now after watching this video, when I think about it, I should've seen the red flags long time ago. For example, for everytime I've ever made a purchase from them, in the end when it came to checkout time, they would slightly try to slide in an extra kit for a certain discount price, which I'm not mad about. But to do that about 5 or 6 times only for you to have to decline several times before you get to the final step was quite mysterious in a since. And then they would do what I would call some kind of Jedi mind trick for you to make those extra purchases by saying, if you don't except the deal breaker, then you're gonna lose out and everything will go back to its original price. Don't get me wrong, I kinda understand their hustle, but at the same time, I should've looked at that as a preview of what was coming in the future. So with that being said, I wanna say thank you my brother for spreading the light with this situation.👍💯

Came here because their ads caught my attention but I decided to check out the reviews first (thank god lol). Liked your approach in this video and you seem like a great down to earth dude. So I wanted to ask perhaps a kind of silly question - I have never done any music, but sometimes I feel like it could be fun to just grab some sounds and make a tune or something. I'm making an indie PC game and I thought I could try to make some simple tune by myself for my project. Can I do that? Do I have to buy a lot of programs for that (that also seem to be insanely complicated)? Are there any options for absolute beginners like me to feel it out? I does not have to be free, but preferably on the cheaper side of things.

@@Slash_ER so here’s the thing any program you get to make beats are going to need to be purchased so if you are just trying to see if it’s something you even enjoy doing,maybe start off with the trial version of FL studio and just play around with it a bit,to learn how it works and see if u enjoy it and if it seems like something you would be into you can then purchase the full version.the trial version comes with limitations,one of the main ones being once you save a beat you can’t open the session back up to use it or add to it until u purchase the full version.but the trial is just for you to learn how to use it and see if you enjoy it

Lifeline Expanse is a good alternative for sound doctor. I think the Lite Version comes with any purchase on Plugin Boutique this month. And if you happen to like it you can buy the upgrade for like 20$ to the full version. So it's a better version of sound doctor for literally 20 bucks. Comes with great presets too.

Honestly, I love The MIDI Wizard. It’s gives great jumping off points for inspiration. The Drum Monkey I found offensive. But I only tried to use it once. I couldn’t abide it. The Bass Dragon seems interesting. Oh and I bought MIDI blueprints back it the day.. great starter packs for inspiration. I just figured some products I’d like more than others like with any company.

No because not all plugins are overvalued.just because a company makes a plug-in within the same plugin genre does not mean it’s the same as other plugins,and sometimes the price makes sense.this is not one of those cases and this issue is bigger than just a “price issue” this company been taking advantage of the producer community in lots of ways for a while

For example u named izotope and all though technically you have plugins in ya daw that can do some of the things isotopes plugins can do,they definitely make plugins that can do things ya daw can’t do and the quality of the features in a lot of ways are better then ya daws effects.now whether or not a person wants to pay isotopes prices THATS on the individual but I wouldn’t say they are OVERpriced considering what their tools can do.and even if someone argued their plugins are too expensive it’s definitely not SCAM level expensive

Anytime I see a landing page that has an infinite list of product features, I don't buy the VST plugin. It looks like they're using ClickFunnels or something similar to sell a bogus plugin. I've worked in marketing and this is definitely a scam in terms of pricing. This thing should be no more than $55-$95.

I have all their products and when I need a quick turnaround because I have to submit beef every week to the production company I work for this is quick fast and Harry and I don't see no problem with that. People want to keep saying that it's full of beginner producers no it's not for beginner producers because we cannot producer still wouldn't know how to use the stuff. People need to make the type of music that they want the way that they want without somebody basically trying to tell them or convince them what they should or shouldn't do for sure they shouldn't buy opinions is one thing but the straight out tell somebody how good or bad something is is an opinion that's it. If you go to my page I made plenty of those beats with many wizard with drum monkey with Melody sauce Captain plugins orb composer and other stuff. It's nothing wrong with having different creative ways.

So I’d start off by saying those plugins are also over priced,BUT, the difference is even though I feel it’s over priced u can at least argue that izotope neutron 4 is worth the high price tag.you have to understand that what neutron does and what sound doctor does is two completely different things.sound doctor is a basic multi effects plugin with a lil tiny bit of Ai randomization technology(it doesn’t analyze anything it randomizes,THATS a big difference in technology) Neutron 4 is an entire mixing suite that gives u top tier tools needed to aid u in your mix and then it has a i tech that can analyze your mix and correct issues u may be having and school u on where u can make changes to fix ur mix (two different plugins).ur point basically says that anything in the same product genres can be priced the same because it falls under similar categories and THATS not true. Think of it this way, there are RVs that can cost 100s of thousands of dollars but an RV is basically an entire home on wheels,going off what u just said u would have a Toyota Camry cost as much as an RV because “they’re both vehicles” 🤷🏾‍♂️

But if I’m a new producer that knows absolutely NOTHING about effects chains, Sound Doctor can be extremely useful for auditioning different effects chains and then trying to recreate what you like with stock plugins…. Rather than watching HOURS, and HOURS of tutorials. If I was first starting out, I would gladly pay $200 for this and start making music right away instead of spending hours on KZbin and getting nothing done.

It can also be helpful if you use it as a learning tool and recreate the effects chains that it generates using your DAWs plugins. In that case, it can help you by training your ears and teach you how to generate the sounds you like on your own. Like any tool, just depends on how you use it.

The fact that it has any issue at all with a 300$ price tag is already a red flag,but,Any time a company OVER PRICES a product and under serves it’s a scam,and this product coupled with a lot of other shady business practices that unison audio is known for screams scam.u may not be familiar with the company,but even if ur not,300 for a multi effects plugin is automatically too much money,it’s not the price,it’s the price to VALUE ratio,it’s a multi effects plugin it’s not a vst.there’s nothing this plug-in does or has that can make it worth that much, and they know that,and they are purposely over charging because people that don’t know any better will pay for it,and they are KNOWN for doing that,and that’s just disrespectful to the community ur supposed to be in service of.would u pay 500,000 for a Toyota because some cars are priced that much? 🤷🏾‍♂️ to put it in perspective for u,omnisphere (which is a synthesis engine that comes with over 14,000 quality sounds and an entire effects sweet is almost 500) which I think is too high as well,BUT it’s an ENTIRE VST with an effects suite.Logic pro is an ENTIRE DAW LOADED WITH SOUNDS AND EFFECTS and it cost less then this basic multi effects plugin.MOST PLUGINS do not cost 500-700 and any of the few that do cost that much u can usually at least ARGUE why it’s WORTH that,there is no argument for a multi effects plugin costing 300.
