in this passage from 1 Tim. 3:15, Paul instructs: “…you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth.” Note he says the church- not a leader, not a pastor, not a microcell, not even the Scriptures, but “the church.” Unless there is one church, which church do you choose? I would argue that it is the church that originated with the apostles, the church that relies not only on scripture but also on church tradition and a magisterium.
