It was wonderful to work with you and Accurascale for the sound recording of the Ruston 88DS 😊

Love these videos updating on what’s been happening behind the scenes at the railway, very informative and of course great to see the progress of Ruston too - great job 👍

Thanks for the update. Hope you are still working on the brake van. Have enjoyed the series but they seem to of stopped. Interested in the Blue pipe wagon you have bought. I work at Wolverton carriage works and can remember the wagons being around the works. The only time I saw it / them being used was when we filled it with redundant carriage fittings. Took them outside and burnt the lot. Sacrilege I know but they were in the way.

Yeh the brake van is still there! I’ve just had so many railway related projects that we’ve had to work on as a group that sadly my own stuff has very much taken a back seat, I hope once all our land issues are sorted I can get back to working on my own projects!

The valves appear to be crane valves. They're available at wolsey plumbing or pipe centres normally.

Oh the fun of unclogging sanders, used to do that on the old GE/West Anglia units. The valve that sits under the hopper can be the culprit in some cases, if the Rushton set up is similar

Yeh the valve might be an issue on some of them for sure

@@WardleRestorations from memory it's quite a narrow channel inside the valve once the sand is wet and clumps together it just blocks up. If we was unable to change the valves a few swift whacks with a lump hammer did the job to clear it temporarily

A drain cleaning spiral might work to clean the sand tubes.

I do like your livestreams, don't get me wrong. I just want to see your model railway operating again. Even if you only show it in one video a week. I miss it so much. However, talk of real steamies and stinky diesels, there's a new real railway video on my channel I'm sure would be to your liking. It begins with LNER A4 Sir Nigel Gresley on the main line, at Chester. Second comes a Class 50 diesel on the Severn Valley Railway. Third is a Class 86 Electric Diesel at Crewe, back on the main line. Do watch it and let me know what you think of it.

Kelly, I can’t say when the lives will come back, sadly my life is so incredibly busy at the moment! Thank you for the continued support though!
