I had a choice of the Modal 008 or the Moog One. I wound up going with the Moog and sure wish I would have at least given the Modal a chance. It really sounds good.

trust me, you made the right choice. 008 is a like Jaguar. It's british, beautiful, an iconic collector's item, and extremely unreliable. lol.

Please make a sound bank for the 008! It's a great synth, but the presets were always just "ok". That's really the only gripe I have with mine.

Underwhelmed by the videos I’ve seen/heard of this synth … Sounds like a hybrid synth. And these were rather expensive, weren’t they? If so, it’s no wonder to me that Modal had financial problems.

Sounds VCO to me. I quite like the sound, though $5000 gets you more features on other boards…but the flexible filter is special
