Yeah dude, I know it seems a little samey, and we will try other gear but when it's an artist like page, we really must stick to the history. But also, this series is to sound as close as possible within a budget, and as predictable as it may be. The end game is, does it sound like it or not? I totally get your point and some may be unimpressed or bored. But by the same token. It's a lot of fun, and people will criticise anything and everything, so we try not to care too much about that. But still trying to give the viewer the info they'd need to sound like their favourite artists!

As someone who has chased Page's tones for literally over 30 years, I think you did a fine job. You came close to some of the tones and that's commendable especially since you only just started trying to get those tones (Rabea.) Glad you had Matt to guide you. Just for fun, grab a bog standard Tele, a really small Vox (AC4 maybe) a fuzz and a wah. See if you can make some of those other famous early Zep tones :) I run a Marshall C5H into a 4 x 12, also a Supro Dual-Tone; a Soul Bender, EP Boost, SL Drive, MXR Phase 90, Mini Deja Vibe, and Cathedral into *both* amps. I have Les Pauls, Teles, and Danelectro, and a G1275. Mid years of Zep, used lots of phase; late Zep, Page was fond of a super short slapback delay. Give it a whirl my friends!

Want to be surprised by a Page tone? Vox AC-15, wah, big muff, Gibson ES-335 clone (preferably an Ibanez). Low output pickups of the semi-hollow body and the reactivity of the AC-15 make for good starting points in his tone, followed by setting the muff halfway on tone, minimum on gain, and maximum on volume and running it all the time. It drives the hell out of the amp, gives you that really classic low-output humbucker sound that he had, and is loud as hell. That whole setup probably costs about 1100 Euro.

finally someone who plays Whole Lotta Love right is not metal, its rock, so its not that distorted, and it more individual notes than two or 3 note riffs

But they didn't, watch the Joe Walsh Gibson tutorial for a good example of yow to play it right. The A string is supposed to be bent to match the D string on the intro. They totally missed that

Last 2015 I bought this Epiphone Traditional Pro (same burst color in the video) thinking I needed a Les Paul because I'm a big fan of Jimmy Page. And also i love the coil tapping and zebra pickups on this guitar. Now I just saw this video accidentally and out of curiosity I just watched it, when I saw them picking up a Les Paul, my heart jumped when they took the same guitar that I have. On my mind, I was like, "come on! please! please! pick it up! pick. it. up!" haha I'm so happy seeing the guitar I purchased last year being used to copy Jimmy Page's sound!

Of course Jimmy had NO coil tap/ phase reversal stuff in Led Zeppelin. That came way later POST Zeppelin.. Jimmy Page Tribute guitars are all 'Period Incorrect' for Led Zeppelin. They are modelled on his Solo Career. See my comment above to duplicate his #1 Les Paul.. I replicate the Madison Square Garden 1973 tone on my channel if you're interested

I'd say tied with GnR. Tell me a more iconic rock band than Guns N Roses, what with Axl and Slash with their bandana and top hat, they gave rock n roll it's swagger, whilst Led gave it it's heaviness, it's oomph, they and Floyd pretty much ruled the 70's sound, and influenced tons of people to this day. They both contributed hugely to rock n roll and I don't think it would be nearly what it is without them.

Page uses a tone bender mk ii for make that famous tone that we all know, this tone is thin and with low propagation, very opposite of the "true" tone, and this include the small supros that he used to record Zep I with a tele for example. and btw jimmy play a lot of the oranges, and in the celebrations day show he plays some rockerverbs 50, just do some research and you see it. I like the sound likes series, but this in particular i didnt like at all, i think if you gonna try to "replicate" the early zep tone, you should go with pretty much small tube amp and a tone bender or some brit fuzz like and control the volume of the pot of the guitar to get the crunch or lead sound, and of course, the hand of the person playing the guitar, that part is the most important of all. Cheers
