That moment around 7:53 when Myles goes into a lower register for a bit to give room for David’s growl is really amazing. This whole performance just shows the synergy that can happen when you have two vocalists working together to let each other shine. Their voices compliment each other so well the whole way through. One of my favorite live performances ever. Myles is probably my favorite living vocalist, he just absolutely breathes life into everything he sings. And David really has killer pipes too.

Myles Kennedy is hands down, the greatest living rock vocalist now that Cornell has sadly left us. They both have a four octave vocal range. The big difference was the cornell sang with more rasp and distortion and Myles chose to sing clean. They are both God tier talents.

Myles Kennedy is the lead singer of a band called Alter Bridge but also plays lead on guitar alongside Mark Tremonti (who also does vocals). Myles is severely overlooked and underrated, he can go as low as Elvis and as high as Freddie Mercury. He's an extremely talented artist. Even made his own solo album, with another one to be released end of this year or early 2021. His vocals are ridiculous and he's one of the very few artists/vocalists that doesn't need studio to make his voice sound perfect Edit: I strongly recommend reacting to 'In Loving Memory' or 'Words Darker Than Their Wings' by Alter Bridge Live

Blackbird is their best song, just sheer perfection! Also some of their greatest songs that you should listen to: In Loving Memory (live in Amsterdam), Watch Over You (Billboard Studio version), Words Darker Than Their Wings (live at the Royal Albert Hall), Calm the Fire, Cry of Achilles, Isolation. Hi Dan, I am 63 years old and have grown up listening to older music my self. Love Simon and Garfunkel. When they made the record for The Sound of Silence, the first time it came out it only had guitar music in it. A DJ got a hold of it and added drums and that's when it became the big hit it was back then. Also, they sang it as a warning as what was to become. Dave and his group Disturbed sings it like they are saying it is now time to listen because most of what the song was about has came to be now. They did from that stage what the song has been trying to warn mankind from the day Simon and Garfunkel performed Paul Simon’s words. They brought the music back to the people and in turn the communication from soul to soul we were losing. I think Disturbed performed this song in a way that forced people to hear a message that I think was easy not to feel in the original. The way they slow it down, add the orchestra, and evolve in the emotion throughout the song, forces you to absorb every lyric and emotion of the lyrics.

Myles Kennedy is not only the lead singer for the band Alter Bridge (check out their songs Blackbird and Life Must Go On) but he has his own album called Year of the Tiger. Check out his songs Haunted By Design and One Fine Day. The lead guitarist for Alter Bridge, Mark Tremonti, also has his own band going called Tremonti. Two songs of his I'd recommend is Bringer of War and Wish You Well. Like others have already said, Disturbed's lead singer is David Draiman.

Yo man I was a huge fan of the Simon and Garfunkel version and I think Disturbed definitely did it justice. David Draiman has such a powerful voice and don't worry when I first heard it I teared up.

I saw Disturbed live in 2002 after being a huge fan of there's since their first album. That is still one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They have an energy that just overtakes everything else and all that matters in that time is music. I remember my biggest memory of that concert they were in the middle of a song and David literally stopped everything saying "hold on hold on I just saw someone go down and I wanna make sure she's ok" he then got down to the ground and started walking into the crowd which parted like the red sea. He crouches down and is talking to someone and when he stands up he's helping a young girl get up and carried her out of the crowd before getting back on stage and picking right back up. It was one of the most epic things I've ever seen at a concert and I have a lot of respect for him for doing that.

Ok so I don't know much about Disturbed, but I know Myles, so let me give you the rundown on him. 1. He is best known for being the lead singer of a band called Alter bridge (they have been around since the early 2000s, they have released 6 albums, they are mostly rock/metal in genre and I personally believe that they are one of the most underrated bands around). 2. He is also in another band called Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators (This band is more Rock n Roll, the lead guitarist is very, very famous and they have released 3 albums together since 2010). 3. Myles was born into a Christian Scientist household and his father died when Myles was 4. Fast-forward a few decades and this was the inspiration behind Myles' solo record Year of the Tiger (which is acoustic/blues based). 4. Myles back in the 90s/early 2000s was a part of a band called the Mayfield Four (which was more alternative/grunge and produced 2 albums). 5. In all bands Myles has a hand in writing (I find his lyrics to be very poetic, easy to understand yet also ambiguous that they can be relatable for nearly anyone and everyone). 6. Myles is a very, very talented guitarist but he doesn't take the spotlight away from the lead guitarists in the other bands he is in. Songs I would suggest if you are genuinely interested in Myles include (these aren't ones I am asking you to review, too many to do that... but ones for you to listen to in your own time): Blackbird- Alter Bridge (Live at Amsterdam or Wembley) Words Darker than their wings- Alter Bridge (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) Native Son-Alter Bridge White Knuckles- Alter Bridge Anastasia- Slash ft.
