@@appsstore11 I didn’t go last year because of Covid, but the event was still on. Jasen Bellgrove drove the panther but was having problems with it, so this year they had the twins from Combat and dealers. Drive the panther tank, and was really smooth.

0:17 Weren't the Panthers capable of neutral steering? Errr...I might not be using the correct term, but while stationary rotating in place by moving one track forward and one backwards as opposed to just locking one in place to rotate in place?

They were but there’s nothing saying the notoriously finicky transmission would allow them to do so. They may not be using neutral steering to go easy on the final drive.

That was the Panther II IIRC not this model. In case you meant something else look it up. The Panther II was a planned nightfighting model.

Ist es vorgesehen, daß der Jagdpanther und das Stug 3 auch irgendwann selbst fahren, oder sind dies nur Standmodelle? Ich weiß es ist ein unheimlicher Aufwand, und von den Kosten ganz zu schweigen , aber träumen wird man ja wohl noch dürfen.

Ich glaube "vorgesehen" ist die falsche Umschreibung. Wenn AusArmor die Teile zusammenbekommen würden, wären sie schon dran. Aber generell haben sie schon daran gedacht und bei der Restaurierung entsprechend vorgesorgt.

Einen fahrenden Jagdpanther kann man doch auch bei uns in Trier sehen. Und ein fahrendes Stug z. B. jedes Jahr in Overloon.

Ich bin ziemlich im Bilde,wo und in welchem Museum deutsche Panzer stehen und welche davon fahrbereit sind.Mir ging es nur darum, wenn man sieht mit welchem Aufwand die Australier ihre Sammlung aufbauen, muss ja auch einiges an Kapital dahinter stecken,und wie gesagt die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt.

To in order ride the panther. U can buy a ticket, win a raffle and lastly open door raffle. So only 3 people can ride the panther. It was $2500 Aus to buy the ticket
