ABOUT THE LESSON 📚
We all want to sound more professional in the workplace. It's important to show our colleagues that we are knowledgeable, competent, and polite. Therefore, I want to teach you 17 different advanced verbs that you can use at work and help take your professionalism up a notch.
Although these verbs may be used in many other context, associated them to work will give you a better understanding and make it more likely for you to remember the meaning. I'll tell you the meaning of each verb and talk a little about how they are commonly used. I'll even provide some example sentences so that you can see how the vocabulary is used in context.
In case you would like to review, here are the verbs from the lesson.
1. spearhead /ˈspɪəhɛd/
2. forgo /fɔːˈɡəʊ/
3. procrastinate /prəʊˈkræstɪneɪt/
4. overhaul /ˌəʊvəˈhɔːl/
5. resolve /rɪˈzɒlv/

I always used to study English for hours on end and not focusing on a specific topic which led to many problems one of them is that whenever l speak my mind goes blank and l can't remember anything, so l've been strategizing a plan to study just for 20-minutes every morning before going to school and focusing on only one topic l implemented the necessary chances and l'm executing pretty well actually l feel like this plan is helping me to retain more information and learn faster. In fact, l've been doing that by watching your outstanding lessons.💕☺️

See how some of these verbs in English are similar to Portuguese: procrastinate (procrastinar); resolve (resolver); strategize (criar estratégia. We don’t have the form “estrategizar”, but we have estrategiar); implement (implementar); execute (executar); improvise (improvisar); restructure (reestruturar) and so on...

I'm a U.S. citizen currently residing in China, the world's largest English speaking nation as of around 2014. However, much of the English is "chinglish" (no, it's not non-PC; it's the term Chinese people use!), and I spend much effort to ensure communication is effective. One of my favorite words is "plethora," but I pretty much have to reserve it for conversations with native English speakers. Perhaps you might spearhead a regimen of videos that address linguistic constructs when speaking to foreigners... 😊

Dudes, I don't even have a plan. I'm going to procrastinate again. I'm unemployed for 1 month now it's frustrating ☹️

It's not a compliment to improvise your presentation instead of making deep preparations. Most often people desire to commute their interests by creating themselves for a robust network to make things easier to do and involved.

Unfortunately, it is not realistic to promise that we will solve something that requires stability and patience, such as learning a language in a short time. I don't like this ad. But I've been following you for a long time, your videos are great.

LWe watched a movie about Cryogenics yesterday that was in German an Vicki had very hard time understanding words that fit with the topic. She isn't sure what Cryogenics is; excepta branch of Science. Fortunately we didn't need to know exactly, but I was surprised she knew the German word for oxygen is Sauerstoff. She understands the language in German movies more than she does the culture. We watched half the movie. Then she got too tired and had to sleep. Gustav PS-Vicki thinks they "skimp on explaining culture to language learners. The "culture" in Germany is hostile these days. Thanks to Trump pitching Hatred all over the world and still doing it today plus AfD, a group of hateful people, who celebrated Hitler's birthday last year and forced a small part of Mein Kampf to be published in 2018.

Hi Gustav. I know nothing about Cryogenics, but that's good if Vick's comprehension is coming along. Listening has always been my most challenging skills. And I hope to include more cultural lessons in the future. Mostly, I've done them with live-lessons but perhaps I'll make some regular video lessons about that. 👍
