Gandalf Wizard I agree. Also if we'd had these things back in the eighties holyshit where would we be now? My whole life would have been different.

Can someone please answer the phase question when using this with 2 amps. No demo I have found even mentions this.

Love you videos Tom. Question. I have a Boss "Ecosystem", if you will.....of a Boss RV-500 & DD-200. Could I use just one channel of either an ES-5 or ES-8 to put both the RV-500 & DD-500 in & have the ES-5 or ES-8 be able to talk to them both? Or would they need to be assigned to one channel each?

If you want to send separate messages to them (for example different PC numbers to recall different presets) then they need to be on different channels.

Hi. Thanks for the video. Maybe you can help me with a few questions. I'm a guitar player and singer in a portuguese band. As i sing and play at the same time it's very uncomfortable to be tapdancing. Some years ago i bought a Mooer L6 switcher. For the price i can't really complaint about it (the main problem is this kind of delay when you press the buttons, the sound kind of fades in). I've been using it to control my modulation pedals live, but i want to be able to control all pedals (dis, drive, boost, etc). This happens because i use my modulation in the fx loop of the amp and the other pedals in the front inside of the BOSS NS2 loop. My question is if using the boss es 8 four cable method feature i can route the pedals i want to the front and to the fx loop "separating" them but still using in the same loop system. Other thing i would like to know is how the boss NS2 loop would work in a foot switcher, i mean how can i still be using the noise surpressor loop or how can i use it still using a switcher. As i'm thinking of switching to another switcher, i would like to ask some of good choices for me besides the ES-8. What exact foot switchers can i use to route pedals to the fx loop and to the front of the pedal. Thank you.

Hi, I don't know you but your music sounds very interesting. I have an ES5 and it has a few less features but perhaps this would help ymuch easier. The yes 5 takes up less space. One of the reasons I like it is loop. One I could put a WA' pedal in i fuzz a germanium fuzz. And then I can turn off the individual buffer. But on my other pedals, they would require a buffer. So I like that feature. But my reverb and delay are in my amp too. And then my amp one has reverb in it. So I'm able to take some things off the floor I don't know if this would help you or not. It's just simpler for me to have reverb and delay in the effects loop, also my amp. Is not buffered so I have buffer reverb delay equalizer and then buffer. I use the stryman. Power supplies always because they're low noise. I don't know if this will help you or not. But you may want to check out the S5. It's very similar to the s eight

If another preset requires different parameters of any given pedal, what happens?

Then you need to use MIDI to change if the pedal has the capability.

I have one of these ES-8's and the power and flexability of it are wonderful! BUT I have a ground/buzz/noise issue when using the 'FOUR Cable Method" I have a custom build tube amp that is whisper quiet for high gain metal, top notch Planet Waves cables, and a bundle of pedals. If I unplug any of the Vol/Loop cables or the amp lead itself the ground goes away. I have tried pretty much every trouble shooting trick out there to no availe. should I be using balanced cables for the loop? should I get an "HE-2" it seems that this FCM should be able to work for players with our this buzz/noise routine? any help would be awesome!

try a db-11 a/b/y amp switcher? ground lift switch should help
@plummetplum6 жыл бұрын
Curran I have exact same issue. Boss don't mention this but it's something to do with the loop and the preamp chain being combined. I've heard you can get buy a unit to put on one of the routes but need to research it. Did you fix it in the end?

@SoundAffects9 жыл бұрын
+brian patrick Using the ES-8's ability to blend signals Tom has set the Flashback to kill dry so that only the 'Wet' effected signal is blended into his patch. Please see our overview video for more on this - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mH7GqXifZpKrhrs
