I've ran analog systems for almost 40 years and I've always appreciated the ability to touch a physical mixer board along with rack mount EQ's and effects but recently I went and did a job running sound for a band where the guy handed me a IPad at which point I had a "WTF" moment since I had never used this type of setup before. Because I have 3 digital DAW recording stations in my studio it took me about as long to learn this product as it did for him to physically hand me the IPad thanks to using the software on the DAW stations. I was pretty impressed at how much easier and quicker this setup is especially for live applications compared to running snakes and setting up an actual mixer board along with the EQ and effect rack. I just purchased this unit and it will be here in a few days hopefully in time for me to use this for my next sound job so that I can retire the 100 foot snake along with my mixer and effects and EQ rack. Yeah I was that impressed with this product. With that said, I'm still old school in the studio where I run a DAW that feeds my outputs from my AD/DA converters to a 16 channel mixer where I have the best of both worlds. I can send sub mixes from the DAW to the physical mixer using it as a final combiner mixer then pass the analog signal through a tube preamp which is captured by a second PC station at a high resolution for mastering.

Excellent additions to the original software, possibilities are endless now, Certainly the most advanced touchscreen mixer in that price range, I Love mine !

how to get full screen like that? i did update version 3

To get a full screen you have to connect the mixer to an HDMI touchscreen. Once the mixer boots up you will get the full screen view.

When are you going to add the ability to connect a touchscreen via the HDMI and USB ports to the Ui12 and Ui16? I’ve been told for the last two years by your distributors that “the HDMI port and USB ports on the Ui12 & Ui16 are there for ‘Future Proofing’ the Unit” ... haha what a joke! ....I’m sick of seeing all these videos only around new stuff for the Ui24!
