This sounds amazing! I’m grateful to have found out about this, thank you! I write very cinematic music in general but don’t have all those libraries from Spitfire Audio yet. I do have their BBCSO Discover and this will add to my pallet. You really played so well and I enjoyed this video very much! It’s going to be fun to see what Holiday deals everyone will have going. Thanks for what you do.

This is such a good walkthrough! I often watch you VERY closely, because I want to learn your keyboard technique as well. You are a great musician and player. I am a NOOB at this DAW/VST process. There is nothing in my past (except for pipe organs) that comes close to what these electronic things can do! The different library "patches" or "Banks" (i.e. Sordino Violins, Tutti) are like the individual stops on a pipe organ. And the "Mixer" feature in thee engine allows for more than one patch, just as pulling more stops on an organ allows for more tones. I am an elderly person as well. We had NOTHING like this in my youth. In my time, the most affordable electronic instrument for a NOOB was the Magnus Chord Organ! A true disappointment musically, and, boy did I ever dream of what these VSTs can do. I must have been ahead of my time! I used to go to movies to hear the soundtracks, and then would try to buy them on record. It is amazing to see all this opening up now, and a delight to be able to tinker with it as well. Now potentially, I can make my OWN soundtracks! It was YOUR videos that encouraged me to get into this (even at my age) and I am so glad I found your channel! Definite subscriber here! You have definitely saved me from the "Magnus Chord Organ" (eek!) So thank you so much for all the inspiring videos and keep 'em coming --- I've got a LOT to learn yet!
@PraiseTracks8 ай бұрын
Well, your mentioning the beloved Magnus organ takes me back to my first beginnings as I had one of the smaller brown ones that I would take to church and set it up near the wall close to the pianist and organist. I would plod away as I played along during the worship service. Fast forward and here we are. I pray you will co to use to find much joy and inspiration here as that is truly my goal in being here. BTW, Project SAM has made some amazing updates to this original library since this video as well as introducing The Free Orchestra 2 where they have been adding a new instrument to it each month. Take care and stay joyful!

Excellent playthrough as usual. A Kontakt tip: Instead of dragging and dropping instruments when you are going through a list in sequence, just use the right arrow next to the instrument title in Kontakt. Best of all, it does not keep asking you if you want to save your changes.

Ohhh I'm excited! I just downloaded all the components and used my 30+ year old Yamaha PSR xxx as a controller. Now I'm not a trained musician but I love creating "soundtracks" for my fine art pieces (still & video) and this is gorgeous! I was using other online synths which were ok but this is so rich and luscious and I only tried it out for about 2 minutes. I'm a drummer but maybe this will spark me to actually learn piano (not just noodle around). 😁

Thank you for the wonderful video, love your energy and excitement. Quick question, how did you link the 2 instruments together (Sordino Strings & Felt Piano) in the last segment? I thought that sound was incredible. I also use Cakewalk but I can't figure it out. I am grateful for any tips you or your subscribers might offer. Many thanks.

Scott, I am basically using the TRACK MIDI ECHO. I will see if I can record a quick vid to help illustrate. Stay Tuned! 📺
@PraiseTracks Жыл бұрын
Here is a short video showing you how to do it. Tha magic is in the INPUT ECHO state of the selected tracks. You can do this for as many tracks as you want, it is basically sending the MIDI being received on one of the tracks to the tracks where you have the Input Echo turned on so it can receive it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKSTg59qlsahkNU

Hi Simeon I need your advice ⚠️ I’m hesitant between Symphobia 1&2 bundle or Lumina, I still got time until end of actual sales... anyway for orchestral stuff I’m more into Vienna, but Symphobia got great dystopian stuff I heard and Lumina some mysterious ways, both can be good for me .. the only stuff for Lumina is the interface looks a bit old but sounds maybe great, and Symphobia 1 will have an update followed by 2 I guess. If you got what I mentioned above which would you recommend me? Maybe when Symphobia will be out they will have a sale again as for true strike... even after actual BFsale 🤔

I have not had the opportunity of playing their other titles but Project SAM has a wonderful reputation for their high quality. The way they are moving forward with updates and supporting their previous customers is a big win in my estimation. I will have to see if I can get on board with them. As always, if I find out any additional info, I will be sure to pass it on. Joyfully! 🎹

Are so different, Spitfire's is a mf ENTIRE Orchestra with different dynamics (tremolo, Sustain, Short, pizzicato...) And was recorded in an auditory, so, the instruments are automatically panned like they sound in a real symphonic orchestra. Btw, Sam's Free Orchestra has some crazy sounds. JUST TAKE AND USE BOTH

i hear,like me,you're a devoted star wars fan Simeon,however,i hate the three sequels they made,they deconstructed the old characters in a bad way,Luke is a shell of what he was before,the way they killed of Han Solo,i know they must go forward,but they could have handled it differently,that Kylo Ren is a mere shadow of Darth Vader,i wont be adding these to my collection,i did'nt even watch the last one,that way i preserve (somewhat) the good feelings of the past 6 movies,with 3 (ep IV-V-VI) being marvelous,it's sad
