The only thing I'm looking forward to more than this is the eventual release of the re-mixed & re-mastered Ultramega OK. Anyone who knows Soundgarden knows the band was NOT happy with the way it was mixed back in '88, hence they added "OK" to the title as a subtle jab. Recently, Kim Thayil and Jack Endino went back with the original tracks and reworked the whole album to the band's liking. Since even the "OK" version is one of my favorite albums ever, I can't wait to hear the new version!

Frruunkis ! I did not know this. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to it too, now!
@acarlovonsexron19948 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the mix was bad, but I don't think the material was up to par really either, with the exception of Flower, All Your Lies, Beyond the Wheel, and Incessant Mace, it just seemed like filler. Three of the tracks on the album are straight up jokes. As it turns out, most the material was written pre- Screaming Life even, so I justify it as a band still finding their sound. Those four tracks though, added to the Screaming Life EPs six tracks, would've made an unstoppable debut LP.

Judging from the yellow lines in the pavement, the car is going at 140 mph
@mustangmikep514 жыл бұрын
Not really...I've personally gone 217 mph on a modified 99'Suzuki Hayabusa cycle and I'll tell you what its like...at around 100 mph the yellow broken lines become 1 continuous line...(thats when you have to duck behind the windscreen or risk being blown off the bike!)obviously in this video the yellow lines are still separated....when you are near 200 mph everything becomes surreal...the scenery goes by so fast that your mind withdraws into itself and time literally slows down in some weird way...(sort of like if you were ever in a impending near death experience like a severe crash or trauma you KNOW is about to happen in another second!) you notice EVERY little detail of your immediate surroundings...your NOT thinking(otherwise you wouldn't be going 200 mph! ha ha)your NOT even breathing...your traveling an entire football length of space every second...and your hoping that car you see a mile in front of your doesn't for some reason veer off into your lane as you pass him 150 mph faster than hes doin (at 60mph!) But its all over in less than a minutes time....you shut it down but it takes another "football field" to return to "normal" highway speed....and then you've DONE it..you lived to tell the tale+went to a place few have ever been..whew...that was intense...I need a drink Mike.

Yeah, Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger definitely have that late 80s Metal production, courtesy of Terry Date, which sounds great on the guitars, but the drums quickly aged poorly. Superunknown and Down On the Upside's drum sound is fucking astounding, though.
