Matt Cameron’s approach is so incredible. The power, the time, the fluid fills that just completely flow and don’t distract from the rhythmic structures inside of each song.. Hugely underrated.
@NilsDervinger7 ай бұрын
You ask any pro and Matt Cameron is top top top. Plays what's required for the music. Technically insane and just effortless. When guys like Taylor Hawkins (RIP) are like dude does shit we can only dream of , you know he's an all-timer. I could listen to him all day

Absolutely! He's in my top 5 all time.

That’s the thing that impresses me most. Cameron does not sound like he’s playing weird stuff. Carey has same fluid style. There are technical drummers that have no sense what serves the songs and what sounds musical. It just sticks out and sounds odd. Cornell was also on par dealing with complex rythms while singing.

How can Cornell sing while playing the main riff? It's like he sings in one time signature and the riff plays in another. And then the outro sludgy riff, it constantly throws you off. Mind-boggling and he does it effortlessly. What a loss of a pure talent, songwriting, guitar-playing and singing all rolled into one handsome package of a man.

I hear ya...never really bothers me too much when a celeb or artist dies but Chris Cornell hit me hard and still does when I think about it or listen to him. Still doesn't seem real. So, so sad. I wanted to be him when I was a teenager and to think someone who appears to have it all - one of the greatest voices in music, looks, a beautiful family and to still not be happy inside - a scary thought! His lyrics make more sense now, to me. RIP, man, a true legend x

One of the greatest voices in my generation. My wife and I still miss him terribly. He brought authentic soul to every song he performed, even when it was a half-ass inside joke like "Big Dumb Sex." Very few bands like Soundgarden have ever hit hard like this after such a long hiatus, but when I saw them in Newark NJ at the Prudential, I was lifted...the entire crowd was into it, and you could feel the feedback. It was utterly amazing, shoulder to shoulder with everyone there, and the set list alone demonstrated a love and passion that I'll remember for the rest of my life.
