Hello, i am in France,here is review made by a tech magazine. I used my pixel 9 for the traduction By integrating its Tensor A1 chip into its second generation of top-of-the-range headphones, Google marks the blow and overall improves all the performance of its device. Starting with autonomy, the real strong point of these Pixel Buds Pro 2 which allows them to be used without paying attention all the time to recharge them. Comfort and support are just as excellent, so can be worn for hours and during sports activities. Of course, we are delighted with the progress made on the side of audio quality and active noise reduction, but the brand is still a step behind the best on the market, about the same level as Samsung. If the AI functionalities remain of the order of the gadget, there remains a point on which Google is still in front: the quality of hands-free calls mode which still works miracles, but like some other features a Pixel smartphone to work. If you own one, fall for these Pixel Buds Pro 2

Thank you for this! I bought the P8xel buds 2 today. The noise canceling is great to my ears, and the fit is excellent. I was concerned these wouldn't be as good compared to my original Pixel buds,they are. It's true you get a screech when you try to adjust them, but hopefully, this will be fixed. Overall I'm happy.

Fantastic review. How quickly do those connect to the phone when pulling them out the case? My pixel buds pro 1 where horrible at that (5-20s), especially compared to my old Samsung buds + (2s).

As a frequent traveler who mostly stays in hostels, I need a more-than-decent noise reduction for the loud snorers. The old Samsung Galaxy Buds have given me the best result so far. I was hoping this would be perfect for sleep comfort due to the reduced size, but it might not be enough in tuning out the Zzz's.

I have a Note 20 Ultra, so I think most things will be compatible? Just wondering if they'll feel plugged up after running in them a while, does sweat build up, etc.

It's definitely worth considering if you already use a lot of Google Pixel devices. Otherwise, you might be better served by other earbuds. For example, the Nothing Ear (2024) offers a great value for less than the cost of the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Sound quality wise, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 sound very good. Is it better than Samsung and Apple's earbuds? That usually comes down to taste, but our MDAQS results do show that the AirPods Pro 2 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro score higher, which means that you're more likely to enjoy the sound from those earbuds out-of-the-box, compared to the Pixel Buds Pro 2. I'd recommend reading the reviews on our site for more information. Hope this helps. Happy listening!

I bought the Sony XM 5 buds and easily the worst earphones I have ever had. Sure sound quality is good but the day to day use is a pain. During a tipical day I am constantly switching between my work windows laptop, android mobile and MacBook pro 16 and the Sony earbuds just doesn't handle it as well as.the Pixel buds I had before them. I have to resort to basically turning Bluetooth off on devices I don't want it connected with. Will definitely get the new Pixel buds and throw these Sony's in the bin. Hope one day all manufacturers would upgrade Bluetooth multi link even further to allow seamless switching between at least 4 devices

Coming from the Bose QC Earbuds II, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are much more pleasing to use aesthetically and ergonomically, but there's no way the PBP2 noise cancelling is anywhere close to the Bose QCE2, particularly with regards to travelling. The QCE2s do a significantly better job of cancelling/blocking out the mid-range noise on an airplane than the PBP2. As I perceive it its not even close. I guess ill be using the QCE2's like my old QC20's: as sleeping earplugs.

I received it a few days ago. it is the first bud that fixed easily just out of the box, without changing anything.... fantastic. Noice cancellation is another level it was like a very noisy road change to electric cars and complete silence.... I can believe. it is so strong that I get dicey for the silence

There's no mention from Google as to whether or not the Buds Pro 2 support OPUS. However, considering that they haven't posted it on their site, it might be safe to assume that the answer is no, sadly. Hope this helps. Happy listening!

Is the noise cancelling really good, can it cancel noise at 110dB of music wondering if they'll do better than the buds pro gen 1 since they tend to get 110dB down to 70-75 from my experience

I'm in the same boat mate. I need both good noise cancelling and good transparency throughout the day when I'm on site. I'd probably go with the buds 2 because of the synergy with your pixel, plus you know Google will update them regularly to make them better.

I paint houses and power wash and use a sander all the time. Believe me I have tried so many I have an earbud addiction I swear! So for whatever reason my boss quiet comforts ANC is the best when I'm sanding. When I'm power washing my airpod pros are the best ANC. I absolutely love the Bose ANC and transparency mode If I had to choose day to day use I'd use my airpod pros. Best transparency and very good ANC. I'm using the pixel 9 pro xl

Im really sad the twist to adjust sucks. If I tilt my head they fall out no matter what. The original buds pro were very tight in ear and basically wouldn't fall out no matter what. There's no position where these stay in my ear. Huge downgrade. Will probably have to send them back as they're basically unusable unless I sit still and don't move my head.

The "PRO 1"s were garbage - did not stay in the ears unlike the previous gen (yes there was a previous gen that somehow they felt the need to drop the name pro from). And if they don't stay in the ears what is the point!!!!! I think lots of folks complained about the original wee arm on the original PROs (I thought it was comfortable and did a great job keeping them secure). So then they removed it from the "PRO 1"s. I think the "PRO 2's should be a free upgrade to anyone who was unfortunate enough to have been lumbered with their "PRO 1" purchase.

Although it maybe still good with AAC, the question is wouldnt it be better with something like LDAC? And if so, wtf cant it be implemented? I was looking for a new phone and was very close to check a iphone again after my last iphone 6. There were a lot of things to forget that thought quickly, but a main one was the lack of LDAC. I have WH 1000 xm3 i use on long haul flights and LDAC is just better.... Period. I also have xiaomi buds 3T pro and even those have this codec. I just wonder what the reason is exactly. Is it a fee to sony? Is it technically challenging? Wtf is it? However I still ordered the buds pro 2 to check if they are better even with just AAC. A bad headphone on good codec might still be worse than a good headphone on a mid codec. Although for the price I never had any issues with the 3t buds. Until im in the plane totally sufficient, and then i change to over ears. Guess pixels will be good for that. However there are surely other options in that price range that have a better codec and therefore in theory better sound quality and latency.

AAC will always suck on AOSP but you still have alternatives like Opus and can be picked from Dev settings. LC3 will absolutely be added in the future like they did with Opus.
