Your post is so spot on. The other day, I was reading a comment by a young man who had loaded a reaction video and he said he had never heard of the Ohio Players. Another couple didn't know at least 99% of the artists in the We Are the World video. I nearly choked when one of them looked at Diana Ross and asked "who is that?" Unfortunately, the legends are being lost to a lot of the younger generation.

Everybody from that era came from the Chittlin circuit and played cabaret venues, nightclubs and theaters 100% live and kicking! Don Cornelius chose who he thought deserved to perform live because it was extremely expensive to produce back then! All acts on Soul Train could perform live because that's how they made their living! Stop the disinformation of the culture!🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

@@vincentstrain2042 Mr. Strain you got it 1,000% and the Ojays were really working it. They are one of my all-time favorite groups. I've seen them perform a number of times. I would sit in my seat and stare at Eddie the whole time. I was totally mesmerized. LOL Blessings

As I understood it - all bands on Soul Train back then performed live.

Righttt cause I thought all of them were forced to lip sync on Soul Train so I could see how they insisted cause it definitely hits different or atleast supposed to when Live 🗣💯🐐👑💐

Who is jamming to this in 2022. These guys are absolutely terrific. Seen them over a dozen times an you always got your money's worth. If you came at their concerts alone you didn't leave there alone. Don't think Eddie's voice is quiet as booming as Marvin Junior but man he is right up there with him. You know its a great video when your eyes start to sweat Abit. May all that loss love one along the way maybe this song can give you a little peace. May all our love ones rest in peace. Thanks you Ojays and Don Cornelius. This sho nuf is a bigon everybody is digon in 2022 and bet your bottom dollar its gonna be a stone gas. We wish you love peace and soul.

🗣🗣🗣Those that know, they know! Therefore, it is not necessary for me to say this but once: There is no singing trio or group in the world like the O'Jays!💯 All any group can do is listen, watch, learn, and be inspired, but they can never be duplicated, just imitated. 👋👋👋As great as the group Levert, the sons were who inherited their Father's indelible talent, they still could not match 100% the unique genuineness of Eddie Levert and the O'Jays! The power of their enduring and endearing catalog of real, soulful, quality and substantive music over the many years of dedicated hard work that really touched the souls of Black people is in a class by itself; as they sang the experiences of the people that they arose from (songs such as Stairway to Heaven, Ship Ahoy, Family Reunion, and Cry Together, etc., are unlike any of that commercialized stuff they are putting out today (it just doesn't have the staying power)! I want to hear Music, not Beefs! Many more Blessings, Power & Respect to the O'Jays and their Continued Legacy! Love You, Guys, Always & Forever!💐💕
