Jackson's, Spinners, Whisper, and any I'm forgetting, all great groups, but the O'Jays always killed it with that dynamic duo. I always give props to the producers... Don Cornelius chose who he thought deserved to perform live because it was extremely expensive to produce back then! Who is jamming to this in 2022. These guys are absolutely terrific. Seen them over a dozen times an you always got your money's worth. If you came at their concerts alone you didn't leave there alone. Don't think Eddie's voice is quiet as booming as Marvin Junior but man he is right up there with him. The power of their enduring and endearing catalog of real, soulful, quality and substantive music over the many years of dedicated hard work that really touched the souls of Black people is in a class by itself; as they sang the experiences of the people that they arose from (songs such as Stairway to Heaven, Ship Ahoy, Family Reunion, and Cry Together, etc., are unlike any of that commercialized stuff they are putting out today (it just doesn't have the staying power)!
