It was a blast to explore these characters limits and humanity and see who was willing to embrace what they'd become. The end for now...

I've never played VTM before, but this show has been simply outstanding to witness. Between your story and GM style, and the amazing cast, it has been riveting to watch it progress from week to week. The show has even made me buy the rule book to learn more about the system and setting. It has consistently been my favorite bit of entertainment, and its going to be missed. I’ve been watching you tell macabre tales since Bloodlust with the adorable but terrifying Emilia and that lazy Gangrel Jimmy, and I’ve had a blast all the way. Indeed, we mortals forget that these creatures/vampires are not human. They were once human, but now they're things that feed on us mortals like we to cattle. Of the coterie, I realize now that Ava was the one to show the least of her humanity and mortal past. I could definitely see her becoming a dangerous vampire in the political games in the next season.

You know both of your Characters have a tendency for the attraction towards lethal levels of mind-controlling hazards. Especially if the Abyss is involved somehow...

First: Season 2 when? I need more.. Second: Zach, still my favorite you sneaky scheming little bugger Third: Dakota, I wasn't a fan when the show first started, but has grown into an absolutely amazing character. To you Dot, having to change your character so significantly almost instantly due to the bloodbond, it was a beautiful and very natural transition, how dakota has reacted to the blood bond and grown as a character, while still clearly being Dakota at the core, excellent work. Fourth: Ollie, the heart of the coterie you beautiful monster. Fifth: Ava, all I can say is miss magitek is, you really manage to throw some serious wrenches in the works through this season creating some cool drama and gives this whole scheming villain hidden behind a cute face thing going, Ava is a cool character but I am convinced Ava is going to be the death of the coterie.. sorry?

“I insight Dakota” why. Zach would have no god damn reason to. He’s been suspicious of Dakota’s blood bond, so why would he think she was lying about the Prince’s orders? Or what she said? He would have no reason to think otherwise. ‘Oh but Zach’s paranoia’ no. That’s not a catch all, it’s not paranoia it’s the meta game and trying to use “paranoia” as the reason. Glad Mathas and Dot fought on that one, I think that needs to be fought more. Even when he loses rolls, he then still acts like they’re lying when he literally lost a roll and should be convinced they’re telling the truth. Like… christ. I hope he’s going down with the building.

Oh damn... oh damn... what an ending. What a wild ending. I lament not being there live but had responsibilities. Though I look forward to a hopeful Season 2. Now my thoughts on the characters, players, and storyteller. Ava: Damn, she has become a monster in both soul and heart. I can't wait to see her get her comeuppance for this latest foul deed she has done to those children. After all those things... it is very clear she is the type to possibly even kill her own kin to save her neck. I was so hoping for Ollie to Fist of Cain her at that moment of revealing she killed those children. Miss_Magiteck: Excellent roleplay there! It is difficult to stick to an evil alignment character that becomes the target of heated and hateful glares. Especially playing a cute and sassy villain that manages to play the politics and rules of the world in a way that the others can't touch her without some consequence. Dakota: Damn... she was roller coaster of emotional set back and annoyances. I had expected her to get the coterie into more trouble till she was blood bonded and from there I was expecting her to really cause trouble to them. That hot head up the arse that throws common sense out the window 85% to 90% of the time while being so loud and such was originally getting to me too. Then she began showing some decent humanity and of some of her more abusive past to show she really was trying too hard to find a place to belong. Still iffy about her mental processing and what her short and long term goals are still but it seems she is slowly developing into a character I could respect at least even if I don't like her as much as I used to. Little_Red_Dot: Again well played. It is hard to handle the consequences of the actions of your character when you are playing faithfully as the character. Even when you the player knows that the decision will go horribly wrong and probably lead to either your character's death or extreme shame. Very well played. Zach: Frankly... I am a mix bag with Zach from episode one to now. Very manipulative, overly paranoid, goes stupid in the head when caring for his obviously manipulative sister. I would've dropped my sister the moment our mutual mother was killed because she didn't do her job in reigning in a clearly impulsive and hyper aggressive character like Dakota. I mean, for the guy that is suppose to be the brains of the coterie... Zach did a lot of stupid things like putting faith in people that clearly like being loud, destructive, and downright lacking common sense. Though I still hold that grudge of him blasting the single dad and leaving a kid orphan... OH! I guess maybe that baby from the first episode was in the orphanage too? Either way. While I can respect his awesome skills of manipulation, mental wipes, cleaning up after the others. I still don't like Zach at all. EE: Excellent gaming and roleplaying, though there were times I felt you were 'unsure'? of how to use or present your character from the first ten or such episodes due to constantly getting involve with the other players hardcore. Not bad, but I think the only real times Zach shine was when he was away from the coterie or dealing with them one on one when neither side were angry and ready to beat the other one up for something. Looking forward to his return into Season 2... and how he'll manage to weasel his way out of this mess. Ollie: The heart of the coterie, but also the heart the coterie didn't need nor really want from my opinion. Funny the most monstrous looking guy of the group also has the biggest heart of them all. Pity though that it was because of this human heart that got him into the most trouble of the coterie due to outside forces manipulating him to some degree or another. Hell I was expecting Ollie to have been killed on multiple occasions because not only did he stick to his guns by holding onto the small shreds of humanity he has left but continued to embrace it more than his vampire side... well at least till he got involved with the politics of the vampire life which is where he fell a lot but thankfully got back up. Ollie is definitely my favorite character of the series thus far despite a large number of short comings and things he does that lands himself into trouble... but he stays true to his morals from his past life! The_Bubbernaut: Damn awesome play as a Nosferatu there Bub! Usually the hardest race of vampire to play as due to constantly in need of hiding and being looked down on by the rest of the clans. Yet you stuck to your guns and stayed true to your former humanity while at times showing that bestial vampire side from time to time. Though I really REALLY wished you failed that anger roll and made some internal conflict with the coterie at times. I can still hope for it in the possible next season. Saito: Sly dog... I don't know much of what to say other than. I didn't like him at the first encounter. Still don't like him. Yet... I can respect the walking corpse for handling the situation and manipulating the coterie so easily to enable him to reach his goals. Though it was getting iffy in the near end and I am now unsure if he'll be using Ava or vice versa. Only time will tell which one sticks the other in the back. FTL: Damn dude! Your dress style is slick and your performance A grade. Had me believing you were going to turncoat on the coterie 90% of time, which you sort of did, but you did it in a way that won't come biting you back later down the line. It was a close call there with the Zach and Ollie cross examination. Would've expected you to have fumbled it but you got them good rolls! Camille: Oddly I really have not much to say about her. Didn't leave too much an impression on me other than her masterful game twisting jerk on betraying the Anarchs (which was pretty obvious after she walked away with the War Ghoul after dominating it) and that Zach was pretty much all stupid and hot under the collar for her like a good doggy. Otherwise I really wished she made an appearance for the finale... but whatever she has to do or will be done... we just have to wait for the next season. Margaret: Stylish and devious looking that perfectly matches the character. Though I am sorry to say that Saito/FTL stole your side character spotlight as he made more impactful effects after Camille's betrayal. Again the Anarch betrayal and devouring of Norris's soul was an excellent play but afterwards... it seems that Camille fell flat because Bella toss her into work and kept her under lock and key somewhat. Was so looking forward to seeing how Camille would've reacted to the Lassombra clan members and the finale! Such a wasted moment *cries* Mathasgames: Jeez lo wheez... excellent story. Loved World of Darkness since Whitewolf publish the their books and loved the art. Got hooked into the lore and especially Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Hunters: The Reckoning (I could be wrong of which editions these are in... so feel free to correct me) Yet your story telling really gave the horrors and dangers in the World of Darkness more liveliness that I don't see too often these days. Especially your adaptions to how the players kept doing these absurd things or making their independent choices that made ripples into waves. You made it clear to them that their actions have consequences; from the smallest disrespect to the big ones that lead to many deaths of innocents or touchstones. Honestly speaking there were times I wanted to drop the series because it got too dark for my heart to handle but I tough it out and watched it all to this finale conclusion. I am sincerely hoping and waiting for season 2. Until then. I am going into Torpor.

It is no wonder we can't relate to her as much as the others have reveal large chunks if not all of their mortal past. It is easy to play the chaotic stupid role where everything you do is suppose to be evil for evil's sake; but the real challenge is playing evil with ambition and long term goals through manipulation and guile. I found roll4it maybe 3 .months ago and I have enjoyed most if the shows I have watched. I started playing the WoD system in the 90s with the first edition and I have loved the character interaction here. I really hope there is a season 2 as well as more Mage and maybe some Werewolf 😁

Considering they succeed in getting both people who could have thrown a wrench in Sybil's plans dead and accidentally helped Sybil get control of Bella, they really didn't learn much. Let alone killing your prisoners before you interrogate them is 90% of the time stupid in WoD, plus come on you have an elder kindred your allowed to make disappear and you just snap the neck, 3/4 of them could have gained a lot from diablerizing a ventrue.

Well making it to the finale episode of season 1 I will say I do not at all regret starting to watch this chronicle based on looking for youtube chronicles on redit. . Awe was half hoping you'd get all 6 for the finale. . Ah yes doing horrible things, such as trying to save orphans from being brainwashed by the SI and/or firebombed/exploded. . Olley doesn't know, but guess that should have been a sign last episode that the SI was clearing out mortals so they could have a fight without the public learning vampires are real. . Funny when the Gangrel is the voice of reason in an Anarch group. . If anything Sybil/Vanessa is 100% wrong as the local kindred are in far more danger if they don't get Maxwell back and thus don't know how compromised they are. Let alone for the coterie bringing Max to Bella would be a great sign of trust. . I was going to say just sleep in the bathroom, many hotel/motel rooms don't have bathroom windows so they don't have to worry about getting sued over peeping toms. . There are so many choices of who'd want to kill the young neonate coterie. lol . I was half expected Saito to have done something to the bracelet he gave Ava. . Okay you should have demanded a manipulation and subterfuge when Saito said he wasn't interesting. . Half surprising Kara didn't turn on Saito when he killed Mark, given saving her from Sybil was a mess he caused. . You are a moron saying anything religious sounding while Olley has no reason to suspect you aren't an SI trap. . Was half expecting Saito was parodying Rick and Morty and forgetting the word human. . Saito could have just claimed an Anarch Malkavian had a vision, but no you tried to throw a Nos under the bus in front of another Nos. . Okay this is complete BS as even neonates should get Max and Bella fighting over who is Prince, would be good for the Anarchs. . Sigh, such lack of foresight an elder liked kindred owing you major favor is a great asset, and if you brought him to Bella you could even curry favor with her by letting her look like they rescued him on her order, and given he'd need to lay low a good reason to let her stay the Prince. Let alone on the off chance that shadow isn't a disconnected as Bella thought, having somebody like Max around to restrain/delay her while somebody offs Sybil would be the best way to hedge your bets. Further if your going to break one of the big Camarilla laws, don't do it yourself, let Saito do it so you can throw him under the bus. . Well that happened, not surprised you gave the methusala the power to protect its plans from scrying. . This is why Toreador make shit Princes, they put political expediency ahead of greater value, and looking at the grand picture. Max would have to lay low if not leave Chicago being so compromised by the SI and not in a position to effectively be a Prince. . Wait how does Ava have entrancement but not awe/daunt/eyes of the serpent isn't that level 3? . Yep you gave the SI time to prepare by not acting the first night. . What part of the SI must die did Zach miss when he detected somebody but pulled back, you didn't know if that was Torrie (the ghoul). . Who'd have thunk it Saito might be a ninja assassin and he's Asian to I believe. . Surprised nobody thought Chicago was having a minor earthquake with the way Olley was rolling to demolish the wall. . A poor decision to immediately kill Max and Thomas, but at least you asked permission first. Though if you were going to kill him I wanted somebody to try and dialberize him for the lols of at their gens it would likely end in reverse possession. . Fairly sure an act of mass murder is still a stain even if you don't care about the individual. . Not sure I'd say it was the right decision, some may have been brainwashed but they could have also said the bad priest man was torturing us, though for Ava that was definitely safer since Zach doesn't have mass dominate to cloud all their memories of seeing Ava. . Yep linking yourself with a Losambara methusala's shadow was a terrible idea. Again this is why Ventrue rule not the other clans.

Penalties shouldn't be imposed inside 500 meters unless the character is lacking in the firearms skill. And I can tell you right now, no block in Chicago is a half klick.

Certainly need season 2. Would also love to see some other WoD series. We have had vampire, Mage and "Just around the corner". So i'd definitely love to see some Werewolf or maybe Wraith

Really liked the season & looking forward to season 2. Bummed that the cat was a plot hammer as Dakota intentionally left it at the haven to report afterwards if anyone comes snooping. There have been several of these over the season as well as Zach retconning his action & his magic bag or coat that had everything from hangers, spray paint, inflatable pilloes etc. Gets a bit tiresome.

The insight roll with Zach and Dakota was wrong. Dakota was lying. Bella said she was leaving the decision about Cammie's ghoul to the group. LRD chose to make a decision for the group something she has been playing Dakota as having a problem with anyone who does that. Rewatching season and this episode specifically confirmed while Mathas is a good ST, he has clear favourite players ie the dc for rolls with dot and bub are stated before they roll whereas everyone else; he looks at the results before deciding the dc.

Incorrect. She left the decision up to Dakota, not the coteries. "That will be up to you." Circumstances influence the difficulty, and Dakota believed herself to be telling the truth because the decision was hers, not the coteries. VtM is a story telling game (hence ST not GM/DM), and if the players can convincingly argue their end as to why they don't think they need to oppose roll due to story/character reasons (why Dakota believes herself to be telling the truth and how she kind of is) then instead we make it a difficulty check to sense motive behind the sentence. Since she's not actually lying, I'm not having her make a Manipulation + Subterfuge roll simply because Dakota isn't actively attempting to tell a boldfaced lie and hide anything huge. She was given the decision, she made the decisions, therefore end of story in her mind. However there IS underlying motivation. But because she was told directly by the prince this was her choice, and she truly believes she's being honest, it makes the detection technically "Hard" difficulty, aka 4 dice, aka 3 isn't enough. You might DISAGREE with my ruling and how I run my table/show as every ST is different, but also it's a show as well as game, not the same as playing privately where we can shout rules and argue until one relents. We're on a timer, and we've got people to entertain. If I make a call, my players respect it and move on as to keep the show rolling and not stopping it dead in its tracks. If it's a big deal, we chat after and maybe house rule something. This isn't one of those time. Glad you've enjoyed though!
