The more I think about this Hunter... I get the feeling that Hunter was looking for Ollie's Sire. Due to his Sire being 'Messy' with his problem solving. Mostly due to the Hunter being at that location instead of places like the Mayor's place or other high likely profile places where Kindred have done things or locales that are friendly to Kindred.

The more I think about the Hunter the more I think his stat block got boosted like NUTS. Hunters are scary because it very quickly becomes a 5v1 and they could deal aggravated damage. They hunt in packs, that’s why they are terrifying. It’s NEVER a fair one on one. So if a pack of these dudes show up? Meet the new main cast.

Rewatching this and oh the irony of laying low that comes in the next few episodes :D Also the group kind of just rolled with we only did these things and rarely hung out or talked to each other that fed into Dakota leaving. Maybe the other three are getting more used to the way Kindred operate and being 'close' with someone who may live centuries and only seeing them a few times a year is actually a lot. Either way it led to some good inter-coterie drama!

Spoilers Wait, isn't it explicitly stated that a Life Boon can't be called for / claimed if you are saving someone from a clearly inferior opponent? So for Rudi to be able to legitimately call for a Life Boon, he would need to be on equal footing with that single hunter, and seriously laid their life on the line. I'd say it's pretty arguable that Rudi coming in at the last moment and ripping one guy's throat out from behind would not be classified as an equal opponent, and certainly didn't put Rudi at major risk to his life. It seems more like it would be more equal to either a Blood Boon or *maybe* a Major Boon.

Page 315. There is no Blood boon in v5. It's a bit of a tricky one given that Oli couldn't ask for help. It could be argued that Rudi wasn't at risk therefore it's worth less, but the worth to Oli was great enough that it may trigger one. It kind of comes down to the kindred. Definitely a major. Arguably a Life. I guess part of it is that you need to argue your case and be happy that you may be able to win it . Not sure what I would call it in my game tbh.

Yeah, I just assumed Mathas was saying that Blood Boons were a thing in this campaign when he listed them. Wouldn't be too difficult to add a Boon in between Major and Life. But I'd also agree with your statement, Oli would be dead if Rudi hadn't stepped in. Even with the amendment Mathas made from last time, Oli would have gone into torpor then had his head cut off even if he didn't die straight away. And in nearly every write-up of the Life Boon it always says something life "Fighting clearly inferior opponents doesn't count" or "You must risk your entire existence", which is why it struck me that this doesn't really feel like a Life Boon despite the threat to Oli's life. I feel like Blood Boons are actually a quite good bridging gap between Major and Life, because it allows players to pay off the boon by giving something of significant worth. For Oli, it might be divulging incredibly dirty Nosferatu secrets, killing a Kindred, or even stealing the information of the Methuselah's location under Chicago from Zack and giving it to Rudi.

You have a torped kindred in your hands and you risk doing the ash you point of final damage tossing them to the ground. . Fairly sure using dominate on his mom with a conviction about family should earn a stain. Your uncomfortable your mom wants to feed Olley isn't protecting her. . Further fairly sure to rouse immediately from a damage torpor you need kickstarted by a hit of lower gen or at least higher potency kindred blood. . Ok I'm glad Zacks bullshit got called on this. I have not had a problem with any information he has had so far, but WHY the fuck would he know what the society of Leopold is. They dont tell anyone espessally vampires who they are. Them being religious, and catholic would not be an indication of anything like an orginization espessally because whenever they deploy in an area they are usually effective and win. (Since they cant afford to lose) Even if he knew some catholic group is hunting vampires he wouldn't know it by name... unless he worked for them. Good on Mathas for striking that down.

they do, it costs 3 rouse checks per night in addition to the nightly rouse and you only recover 1 aggrivated damage point and 1 crippling injury. That's per night. and if they reach 5 hunger while making those 4 rouse checks per night, they go into torpor again for the night until someone feeds them. but there are also spells, enchanted/blessed weapons that can make healing harder to do or impossible without help. (V5 pg 218)

Because flavor of the power =/= mechanics of the power. She saw what she saw, with my flavor of a description. From the book (pg 249) Premonition: The vampire experiences flashes of insight. These may (key word is may) take the form of raised heckles, sudden inspiration or even vivid visions. While never too precise, these visions can nudge the vampire out of harms way or reveal truth previously overlooked. While it may not make sense to them now, it doesn't mean if they don't think on it that it never will. As for how I worded it, what's a ST without the ability to describe things for our players. The way I see things, even if two Kindred share the same Discipline, their clans blood runs through them, tainting or twisting how the powers are represented. For a Toreador? The world becomes mute, fades, the mundane melts away. If it were a Gangrel? Perhaps scent heightens, they can hear or see more keenly like a true beast. Have fun with it.
