Yo Cody, it’s great seeing how much more confident and energetic you are presenting these videos since Sounds Like A Drum started out. You’ve come a long way, and the drumming community applauds you.

Funny story, had my Maltese/Dashund on my lap behind the kit and he dropped his chew toy on the snare, its like a combination of cloth and some rubber pieces but he acted like he wanted it there so I played with it on the snare and to my surprise I love it! Not as much dampening as a towel but it's just what I want.

Awh that’s precious.

I've used the "towel on the snare" hack for a while. I have a steel snare that can make your ears bleed in small venues. The towel definitely helps muffle the sound.

Immediately thought of Ringo Starr. However I never thought about the situations you mentioned here! I usually keep some paper towel to protect the hoop of the bass and the pedal clamp. Thanks for all the advice, this is the best drumming channel

Man, so this is how drumming and the Hitch hikers guide come together! Thank you, eye opening as always, and another snare sound for almost free. Yay!

A towel also comes in handy for mopping up the pint of beer the lead singer parked beside your bass drum and then proceeded to kick over mid-song.

Same, same but different. I wrap my cymbals in old t-shirts in my cymbal bag. I then use those shirts just like you've been describing here. I also carry a towel, but that's for my sweaty head! And those hats sound great btw 👌

You're as allways profund and entertaining! I never go to a Gig without Bandanas an Towels. Sometimes I need them as usual. But most of the time I change my sustain or sound of the drums.

I always wrap my hand percussion pieces in the towel before putting them in my bag so they don't bang into each other, getting damaged and making noise.

I've taken to just using a rolled up towel between my pedal and batter head of kick for muddling. Quick and easy to use or not for different bass drum sounds.

I put one on my floor tom to dampen it when hitting the shell. That was an odd one.

I use towels to separate my stands in the hardware case. I hate when the chrome gets knocked off my hardware.

Cody, what mod did Jesse do on your 20”? In my speakers it sounded thinner than my old 20” A. Excellent channel.

The ball dropped by not putting “Don’t forget to bring a towel” in the thumbnail is of Times Square NYE proportions. That being said, that’s about the only complaint I’ve ever had from you guys. Thanks for the continuing education!
