How Peter Lyngdorf Became Denmark's Most Prolific and Successful Hi-Fi Entrepreneur

In the 1970s, Peter Lyngdorf entered the hi-fi industry as a distributor of well-known hi-fi brands. His startup business was so successful that he subsequently founded the HiFi Klubben retail chain and several of his own brands, including DALI (Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industry) and Lyngdorf Audio, the latter having Steinway Lyngdorf as a subsidiary, a cooperative effort with the famous piano maker. Peter Lyngdorf also helped to either form or came to own other important hi-fi brands, such as NAD, Gryphon Audio Designs, Snell, TacT, Purifi Audio, and others.
In this interview, which was conducted by SoundStage! founder Doug Schneider in October 2023 in Skive, Denmark, Peter explains how he started it all and where he still wants to go from here. He has done a lot in hi-fi but he is not finished yet.
