Okay Guys…it’s Saturday morning here in NE Fla…the Blunami has been out awhile now, when are your Smart Tech Designers gonna have some N-Scale Steam …I nance some small HO Scale Climaxes and Shay’s, that They won’t fit in….Maybe N-Scale would fit. Just asking, as I’m sure others actually in N would appreciate it. Js. Great id3a for this show.

N-Scale is a challenge due to size.

Hi George, Hi Norman, this is an excellent and engaging podcast. Norman has been bombarded by me for over a year on various problems with many locomotives that I have been servicing and repairing. He has been a blessing. Of course I have been helped by you when Norman went on his vacation and I enjoyed the video of your layout that you shared with me. BTW for other viewers I am from Sri Lanka and have my own layout, (still in work in progress as will be with many layouts). Its 27 feet in an L shape and 5.5 feet in with at the two ends to manage 32 radius outer curves. Thank You so much to both of you.

Have you guys ever shown a video or anything on the cloning functionality?
@SoundtraxxDCC2 ай бұрын
Not yet. Waiting for the full version of the Android app to be completed and we will do a full video showing off the new added functionality of the App, as once Android is done, the Apple version will also get upgraded to match. This is part of what is taking a while for this to be completed. I hope this helps. ~G

Question i have a G scale Bachman Spectrum C19 locomotive that came DCC ready for a drop in decoder, which i already purchased a while back ago for it and love it. I now want to convert to Blunami but wanted to know if i will need to remove or bypass all it's electronics or if Blunami can be somehow be connected to the pins of the existing "drop in" dcc slots? Basically remove the dcc decoder and utilize the pins there to connect Blunami. If this is possible, i would just need to figure out what each pin is for vs having to tear it all up and remove or bypass it's existing electronics which i prefer not to.

The BLU-4408 is not a plug-in decoder. For my model, I soldered wires to the solder pads located around the PCB for the various things i needed, track power, motor, lights, ground, speaker, etc. Then ran those short 6-8" pieces of wire to the various screw terminals on the decoder. Then mounted it above the aristo-style plug with double-sided foam tape. The issue is these plugs, while similar, are not all the same, and we could not justify having multiple formats in the larger scales that may or may not fit, and then with each variation of the plugs, when a single format would help us keep the prices down! If you need further assistance, contact us at support@soundtraxx.com and we can help you in further detail! I hope this helps. ~G

@@SoundtraxxDCC Thank you for the response makes sense and i guess i will have to figure out a way to add the decoder with the existing plug n play board and see if it works

Hi guys, One of our group showed up with a loco with a Blunami installed in it. We all tried it out and loved it. The one drawback that we discovered was that we can't throw the turnouts on the layout. We operate the Tortoises with NCE Switch 8 stationary decoders. Is there a workaround for that other than having to still use our regular DCC throttles? In our case: Digitrax.
@SoundtraxxDCC3 ай бұрын
At this point, we do not have any accessory decoders in our product line, and then of course, none in the Blunami line as of now. We do not currently have these on the radar, but can always add them. You are not the first to ask, so I'd say we are aware of the situation, but do not have any thing in the works to address that just yet. So, for the immediate future, you would still use the DCC Throttle to throw turnouts. Sorry. I hope this helps. ~G
