I'm so interested in this recipe, Josh... my son has an infinity to SOUR items.... when he was young and in primary school he had a clogged salivary duct under his tongue that little thing under your tongue, and he had to have surgery and have a stent put in it to keep the the saliva moving. He was probably in 4th grade I think, and it was his first surgery, so we were a little anxious on both parts- but one of the things he thought was the coolest, was that the doctor had to formally prescribed (for allowances at school) allowing him to bring sour treats in class - whether that be a sour candy or dill pickle or something to keep those glands working and producing saliva. So he thought he was the stuff obviously, lol .. having to show his written prescription from the doctor, for basically candy! LOL - I think that's where his love of sour was developed from. ...and Yes, we still have prescription saved in memento box... lol @bakingwithjosh and @angelakinsey

Wow. I have never hear of that. If I was a kid and had a prescription for sour candy...I think I would have been pretty popular :) Well these cookies will definitely take care of his love of sour treats!

Those cookies are very tasty with canned Lemon Supreme frosting schmeared on them. I think Duncan Hines makes it. They're also great with ice-cold lemon-lime sodas or a high quality hot black tea spiked with lemon. Our backyard lemon tree in Southern California was taller than the house. It bore huge, gorgeous lemons like the most expensive ones sold today. We also had 2 huge white peach and 1 large yellow guava tree. Got fabulous fruits from all of them. The cat and I grew outstanding carrots and red radishes in our assigned patch. Mother had lavish flower gardens surrounding the house and yards. Everything in them grew at high show quality because of the professionally conditioned soil and perfect weather.

Oh dang, just watched your new video and Ange is going to hate it because it's chock-full of beans! 😂 I don't really have a recipe, just throw things together into two crockpots as my meal prep, and I take it to work for lunch almost everyday. I just cook for myself, so that amount lasts me at least 3 weeks and I freeze portions as needed. Anyway, I love garlic, so I start with a bunch of minced garlic (this is going to be super precise, you guys). I get a 3 pound bag of frozen mild green chilis that are roasted and diced at Walmart and I split that between the two crockpots. 2 chopped white onions, several chopped jalapenos, and I'll saute these together in some olive oil if I feel like it. I have even roasted other different peppers in the oven and added them chopped if I want more spice. Then comes the beans (sorry Ange). I throw in every kind I can get my hands on and lately I've been using soaked raw beans instead of canned. Let's see... black beans, black eyed peas, lima, pinto, red kidney, navy, great northern, cannellini, mayocoba, and I think I'm forgetting some. I also add a one-pound bag of lentils. I just keep adding until the crockpots are full, and then fill in with vegetable stock. You can add a rue if you want, but I don't to keep it gluten free, and I've found that the raw beans will thicken it naturally. I have some fun with my spices too and don't really measure. I always add cumin, maybe a tablespoon or so to each, also red pepper, white pepper, and black pepper. Himalayan salt to taste, and sometimes some turmeric, red curry powder, and if you want a little sweetness, some apple cider vinegar. I also like to cook with essential oils (I purchase from Young Living), so I'll usually add about 5 drops of both lime and bergamot. I bring this all to a boil on high, then drop to low and let it slow cook overnight. When I serve it, I add fresh avocado, fresh cilantro, fresh lime juice (usually a whole juiced lime for one bowl because I'm obsessed), and it's awesome topped with Fritos. If you're not doing it vegan, you can also top it with cheese, sour cream, and/or plain Greek yogurt. Om nom nom. 😁 Love you guys, thanks, and have a great week!

We can not wait to see how they turn out for you! I know you will make them. FYI...I got the sour salt on Amazon. It is hard to find in stores, but I think it makes all the difference in the recipe. Also, the bottom of the cookie does stay a little sticky...so when packing them up in tupperware make sure to put a piece of parchment paper in between :)

Hi! I meant to reply on Instagram that I was watching The Office while having a tooth extraction this morning. I was actually chuckling while dentist was wiggling out a broken tooth. LOL. Anyway, the website looks great on my mobile device. I love, love, love that I won't be needing to screen grab recipes from description "down below." That was the only way I could have them close at hand. Haha. Tiny critique: seem like the menu needs a bit of tweaking as far as order of sections. That said, I absolutely love special guest are featured separately... you guys have had lovely people on. I also love that we have both have been featured on Hello Giggles - mine was a blog essay posted very early on HG website going online. Lastly, I am thrilled that you guys added SHOP section. And, as always, best wishes for more good things. You guys are the best. xo

Loved this video! Question: How easy peezy lemon squeezy was it to get Josh to go to the mall? ...our 5 and 7 year olds love to say easy peezy lemon squeezy! ... So I like to say it back to them when it's time to do school work or clean up :) P.S. I also like to shop at a store vs. my husband likes to shop on the internet. Most times I go shopping by myself just so I can take my sweet time. But he will oblige me once in awhile :)
