This will go perfectly with my GFI Specular Tempus. Connect MIDI thru them and see the Tap Tempo BPM on the GFI's screen (the biggest flaw of the Collider). 2 reverbs and 2 delays, then there's the GFI's FX Loop, endless possibilities.

Decided to pick one up. I have the Nemesis but was hemming & hawing on the Ventris going 'Do I really need a dual reverb option when I'm not going to use it?'. Along comes the Collider and all is well.

Exactly and if you look at which algorithms you’re missing, you realize you already have everything you need with the collider. My favorite combo is Edome -> Shimmer. Sounds great for swells.

Source Audio makes great stuff. I was surprised though with this release. I figured they were going to do a modulation to compete with the Mobius and MD-500.

The more I think about this, Source Audio nailed this. There are delay/reverb pedals out there but nothing as good of quality as what Source Audio does. Most people who like delay, use reverb too.

It’s going to be the future of effect pedals. Delay and reverb should really be comb together. They’re all just dsp digital algorithms . There’s no reason why a strymon dsp can only run reverb but not delay or vise versa. In the old times, brands sell them separately for maximum profit but now this got to be changed

The time of Strymon is totally over now. Even Timeline + Bigsky can't beat this $350 Collider because Collider supports parallel mode which you can't get from those two Strymon pedals. Once you are used to parallel delay+reverb tone, you can never go back unless you are big fan of 'that particular all mixed up lack of definition tone'. It is 420p vs 4k quality video difference.

@@zumbigod The trade off for having putting tap tempo wrapped up in the bypass/engage switch is that you need to press and hold the switch for a split second to disengage the pedal.

since youve just recently demoed this and the flint can you compare the reverbs on the 2? specifically both hall and spring settings? im in love with the hall on the flint and im curious how you think they compare

Not mike, but I have both, and they both have great sounding Halls. I think maybe the collider is a bit brighter, but it is so articulate. If you have the flint and mainly use hall and spring, you could stay. For someone deciding which to buy, i would say The Collider, as it is only $50 more, has more parameters per reverb, more reverbs, has awesome delays, features like stacking/tap tempo/freeze, and has presets. My only complaint is the names of the effects are hard to read in dark light, even up close. if you use presets, that doesn't matter though.
